Quests (Infinite Equilibrium)

A Pleasant Reunion

Level 70
Quest Giver Woo
Briefing Woo: "How do you like the scenery of Shonan? The Master hasn't come back yet. He's later than usual. You must be tired of waiting. I apologize on my master's behalf. Why don't you come with me? I'll make you some tea."
Objectives Talk to Royal Messenger Woo.
  • Meet Woo: 0/1
Upon Completion Woo: "I don't know where he is or what he's doing most of the time. If he disappears on me again, I'm going to put a kunoichi on him."

Siran: "You're an ungrateful lass. I took you under my wing when no one else would. Is that how you would repay me?"

Woo: "Oh, you're back early, Master. Her Majesty will be surprised that you returned only five days later than you promised."

Siran: "All right, all right! Do I have to beg you to stop nagging me? Gah! I thought I raised a kitty. I raised a lioness. Err? <Player>, when did you come? Nice to see you. Come on, let's go have a talk over there."

Let's Save the World

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Briefing Siran: "You've traveled to enough places to know that this world is full of crazies, yeah? There are lots of things that drive people crazy. Swords, treasures, love, revenge, just to name a few. And those that are plain crazy are the worst kind. Don't laugh. I'm not joking. I know a guy who's hell-bent on destroying this world just for the fun of it. I've been following him everywhere he goes, and it's taking all my time and effort. I've been looking for a reliable ally, and I thought you were perfect. Say, how'd you like to join force with me for the world's peace?"

<player>: "Um... Would that have to do with the Apostles?"

Siran: "The Apostles? I don't know yet, but this guy I'm chasing is as dangerous as any Apostle. Come to me if you're interested. I can wait as long as you want me to."
Objectives Go to Siran when you are ready to embark on an adventure with him.
  • Meet Siran: 0/1
Upon Completion Siran: "Hah hah, I knew you'd agree to help me. Yes, I do have an eye for people. Don't tell anyone else what we just talked about for now: we don't know who's friend or foe."

Let's Have a Drink

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Briefing Master Siran: "Arad wasn't a good place to live to begin with, but things were never as bad as they are now. Seriously, I think it's going to the dogs. Strange monsters emerge on a daily basis. War breaks out one after another. People have lost their minds to some evil influence. Plagues are killing children and the elderly alike. And what about the Black Nightmare? It's like a living hell! Why are things so bad? Tell me. That's right--the Metastasis! The Metastasis has ruined Arad. Or at least, if the Great Pentacles were still intact, things wouldn't have been so bad. I must have talked too much. My throat is dry. Have you seen Suju Court Messenger Woo down there? She's keeping a few bottles of excellent tasting liquor for me. Bring me a bottle. We'll talk over a drink.
Objectives Pick up Siran's wine from Woo, the Royal Messenger.
  • Meet Woo: 0/1
Upon Completion Woo: "Is the Master drinking again? In broad daylight?"

Worried Student

Level 70
Quest Giver Woo
Briefing Woo: "Ah, you're the adventurer whom the Master thinks so highly of. He must have taken a shine to you. I haven't seen him so happy and excited in many years. You're a capable and honorable warrior. I know I can trust you to take good care of my master. Here's a bottle of liquor that the Master has had me keep for him. Don't let him drink too much, though. He's a bad drunk."
Objectives Bring Woo's Ginseng Wine to Siran.
  • Meet Siran: 0/1
Upon Completion Siran: "Whoa, what's this? Did the lass really give you this expensive liquor? What have I done to deserve this? Hah hah! Come on, pour me a glass!"

Illusion of Time

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Briefing Siran: "I have a story that I've never told anyone else before. Living with a secret is harder than I thought. It's been a great weight on my mind. Hm, where should I begin? Well, I think it's better you see it for yourself. Brace yourself and tell me when you're ready."
Objectives Talk to Siran when you are ready to listen to his story.
  • Meet Siran: 0/1
Upon Completion Siran: "Are you ready?"
Rewards

Powerful Metastasis Energy

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Briefing Siran: "How was your journey? Since it was your first time, I let you only sample what it would be like. Do you feel sick in the stomach? Don't worry. It goes away after a few times. I know what you're thinking: 'Did this guy cast magic on me?' 'Did he put something in my drink?' But that strange scene you've just witnessed is an actual event I experienced in the past. Since the Screaming Cavern incident, I've developed the ability to open up the Time Gate. And through the Time Gate, I was able to experience past events firsthand. At first I just watched. After the hundredth time, I've noticed a common denominator. I believe it's even connected to all the strange occurrences that are currently taking place in Arad. I didn't tell this to anyone until I found an adventurer whom I could trust. And that's you. By the way, something happened to the Time Gate a while ago, and now it's not working right. It let me go to anywhere I wanted, but now I can only revisit places. I think i need powerful Metastasis energy to fix the gate. The easiest things we could find that have the Metastasis energy in them are Cubes."
Objectives Bring the following materials to Siran.
Upon Completion Siran: "You've brought them all. Good job. Let me try again with these."

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Time Gate
Briefing If <player> isn't from Time Gate:

Siran: "It worked at once. I didn't think it'd open so easily. I wonder if there's some outside influence or intervention... Ah, doesn't matter, so long as we can use the Time Gate to experience past events. Can you see the Time Gate next to me now? On the other side of the gate is a whole new world. Brace yourself and enter it. For now, I want you to check the time slots that are available to access through the Time Gate, and then come back. There are not many time slots available, at least in the beginning, because of those disruptive Time Lords."

Warped Time

Property "Has quest location" (as page type) with input value "Time Gate (Dungeon)|Time Gate" contains invalid characters or is incomplete and therefore can cause unexpected results during a query or annotation process.

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Time Gate
Briefing Siran: "The error in the Time Gate must have warped spacetime on the other side of it, and that instantly attracted the Time Lords. The Time Lords are going to make it impossible for us to travel through time. Get rid of them, and spacetime might be restored to normal."

If <player> is from Time Gate:

Last Memet: "You can only incapacitate Baston. He can never die. He's doing his job. Don't expect me to intervene."

<Player>: "I understand. I'll do what I have to do."

Siran: "What? Who are you talking to?"
Objectives Defeat Time Lord, and then report to Siran. (You can only go on this quest alone.)
Upon Completion If <player> isn't from Time Gate:

Into the Tangle of Time

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Fairy Forest
Briefing Siran: "This may be surprising, but the Time Gate allows you to take even the most insignificant things like grass and twigs. And whatever you take you you won't affect the past or the present. Is that hard to understand? Just think of it as a portion of history suspended in time on the other side of the Time Gate. Why am I insisting on a dangerous adventure through the Time Gate? I'm not suicidal, and I'm not enjoying dragging you along with me. Do you remember what I said the other day? All the time slots I visited had a common denominator, a person. I'm convinced she has something do with the Metastasis. We need to look for her in the time slots we are about to venture into. Why we can only travel to certain time slots is beyond me. If I knew that, I wouldn't be here pleading with you, would I? We have to do this to find out who's responsible for the Metastasis and remedy the situation. Of course, we might have to face a new threat in those unstable time slots. But the glory of victory we'll be rewarded with at the end is worth the trouble. Now, it's time to embark on the greatest adventure of history! Let's move to the accessible time slot and start looking for her."
Objectives Clear the Fairy Forest dungeon with Siran.
  • Fairy Forest cleared
Upon Completion Siran: "We didn't find traces of the suspect this time, but I know we will eventually. Whew, retaining the Time Gate and going on a search with you is really wearing me out. I'd better focus on keeping the gate open, or I won't be able to do that for long. I'll leave the search to you."

Searching the Fairy Forest

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Fairy Forest
Briefing Siran: "The available time slot at this moment is the Grand Flores before the Great Fire. It was peaceful back then. This is great. We should be able to find some good clues since most Fairies would still be alive. Let's just hope that we're back to the time before the Great Fire."
Objectives Find Fairies in Fairy Forest and listen to their stories.
  • Listen to the Fairy's story: 0/1
Upon Completion Fairy Girl: "How did you get in? This place only allows Fairies like me to enter. That's weird. I've always been interested in strangers. You seem to have an interesting story to tell me. Am I right?"

Fairy Girl 1

Level 70
Quest Giver Fairy Girl
Briefing Fairy Girl: "Heh, adventurer from the Future, are you teasing me because I've never gone outside my forest? At least you're as interesting as I thought you were. This doesn't make sense though: this forest is protected by the Great Pentacles to keep intruders away. My intuition is never wrong, and I can't shake off this sense of dread. Adventurer from the Future, I can feel some evil force is casting a shadow over Grand Flores. What do you think it is?"
Objectives Relay the Fairy girl's story to Siran.
  • Meet Siran: 0/1
Dungeon Dialogue Fairy Girl: "Sometimes I dream when I sleep, but I can't remember them when I wake up. I can only guess they're sad dreams because my eyes are always wet."

Fairy Girl: "I've been told that you Humans want to get rid of everyone else. Do you want to kill me?"

Fairy Girl: "The Elder told me not to speak to strangers... But I've got so many questions."

Fairy Girl: "One day I want to get out of the forest and see the outside world."
Upon Completion Siran: "Ah, you've met her. You don't remember her, but she and you used to be close. Of course, that's in the past, and you met her on the other side of the Time Gate, so her in the present time won't remember you. Anyway, if she's telling the truth, the disaster is about to happen. I'm talking about the Great Fire."

Fairy Girl 2

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Fairy Forest
Briefing Siran: "The Great Fire caused the destruction of the Great Pentacles by Great Sage Myre and drove all the Fairies out of their forest, leaving the forest destroyed and at the mercy of monsters. The Great Metastasis ruined the forest, but if the Fairies stayed, things wouldn't have been so bad. I think the Great Fire was meticulously planned. Normal fire can never destroy pentacles built by such a powerful mage. You should go back to the forest and talk to her again."
Objectives Talk to the Fairy girl in Fairy Forest again.
  • Listen to the Fairy girl's story for a little longer.: 0/1
Upon Completion Fairy Girl: "Oh, we meet again. I did repair the Great Pentacles, though. Isn't this strange?"

Girl's Identity

Level 70
Quest Giver Fairy Girl
Briefing Fairy Girl: "Oh, my name? How strange! My mother told me Humans wanted to know about other's names, and you just proved to me that she was right. But we Fairies take our names seriously and never share them with strangers. I can give you some information about myself, though. I'm in charge of the Great Pentacle on the east side of the forest. I'm young, but I'm competent in my work."

If <Player> is a thief:

Beast King Umtara: "I thought I head a commotion. How did this Dark Elf get in here?"

Fairy Girl: "Umtara. This Dark Elf is an adventurer from the future. This Tau is Umtara, the king of all beasts."

Beast King Umtara: "Hah hah, nice to meet you, Dark Elf. It's not every day to see a Dark Elf in the forest full of Fairies. Keep yourself out of trouble, and I won't have to use my Beast King Mace on you. I'd like to talk with you a little longer, but I have to check the western part of the forest. Something has happened in there."

If <Player> isn't a thief:

Beast King Umtara: "I thought I head a commotion. How did this Human get in here?"

Fairy Girl: "Umtara. This Human is an adventurer from the future. This Tau is Umtara, the king of all beasts."

Beast King Umtara: "Hah hah, nice to meet you, Human. Keep yourself out of trouble, and I won't have to use my Beast King Mace on you. I'd like to talk with you a little longer, but I have to check the western part of the forest. Something has happened in there."

Fairy Girl: "What happened in the west?"

Beast King Umtara: "Another fire. Someone has been setting fires everywhere in the forest, probably to weaken the Great Pentacles with the intent to harm the dwellers.

Fairy Girl: "This is bad."

Beast King Umtara: "I can't stay any longer. Talk to you later."

Fairy Girl: "I have a feeling that things will get even worse."
Objectives Relay the Fairy girl's and Beast King Umtara's stories to Siran.

Beast King Umtara

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon The Great Blaze
Briefing Siran: "I was right--an outsider has caused the Great Fire! You should go to the west part of the forest and look for the arsonist. Use the Time Gate to get there quickly. You must find the arsonist before the fire swallows everything. Find anything you can. Maybe Umtara has found something already. You should talk to him."
Objectives Meet Beast King Umtara in Great Fire and gather information about the enemy.
  • Gather information about the enemy.: 0/1
Dungeon Dialogue Upon encountering Beast King Umtara:

Beast King Umtara: "I saw you with her. Why are you here? Did you have something to do with the fire? Outsiders can't be trusted! I'll take you down for the peace of the forest!"

Talking with Beast King Umtara after the battle:

Beast King Umtara: "We Taus are susceptible to outer influence. probably because we're pure on the inside. We're easily provoked and lose control... Just like I did now. I don't want to die a monster, but that's what I am."

Beast King Umtara: "My eyes are getting blurry. I enjoyed every moment of my life. When I die, I want you to throw me into the flames. I don't want to leave any trace behind."

Beast King Umtara: "You look like a good Human. Do me a favor. Protect my beautiful forest. It's my last wish. Could you do that for me?"
Upon Completion Beast King Umtara: "Are you sparing my life? I must not have been myself. I can feel my mind deteriorating as the pentacles vanish one by one. Before I met you, I saw a person clad in black. I followed him. That's the last thing I remember. I wouldn't be surprised if that person cast a spell on me."

Suspect's Traces 1

Level 70
Quest Giver Beast King Umtara
Dungeon The Great Blaze
Briefing Beast King Umtara: "I'm too hurt to move. You have to catch the arsonist without me. If we let the pentacles get completely destroyed not only the forest will be burned down, but Arad will also be in danger. You may not believe it, but Arad was a giant mass of land that rose out of the ocean a long time ago. Legend says above the Sky Tower is an ocean where a giant whale swims. There's some truth about the legend since ships, machines, and even Humans drop from the sky sometimes. Great Sage Myre created these Great Pentacles to support the weakened sky and keep the climate stable. If all the pentacles are destroyed, Arad could sink back into the ocean. Find that arsonist. There are multiple Great Pentacles around this place, so he must be somewhere near us. You must stop him."

Objectives Meet Beast King Umtara and ask about the owner of the strange decoration.

Beast King Umtara: "I couldn't protect the pentacles... The world is going to end... Whoever destroyed the pentacles, even he wouldn't have though things would get so serious. Take the Fairies and move above the Sky Tower... Find a new home..."

Level 70
Quest Giver Fairy Girl
Dungeon The Great Blaze
Briefing Fair Girl: "We need to build pentacles to replace the destroyed Great Pentacles, but I can't do that alone. Brothers and sisters, can you hear me? Only we can save Arad."

West Guardian Traulle: "The Humans destroyed the forests and pillaged us. I refuse to put myself at risk for those barbarians."

South Guardian Lowetera: "We don't know if there's any habitable land above the Sky Tower. Arad is the only place for us now."

Fair Girl: "I understand your concerns. These Great Pentacles are the result of a noble sacrifice. When we're in danger, the Human mage Myre sacrificed himself to save all of us. Did you forget him? It's time for us to repay him."

Elder Kawerel: "She's right. The age of us Fairies has come to an end."

A Secret

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Briefing Siran: "I understand now. I've never been in this time slot. Something has happened to the Time Gate."

Siusha: "Wait. Let me take her."

Siran: "You?!"

Siusha: "My gods! I came as soon as I heard about the fire. The forest was burned down. The Fairies are gone. And Seria has changed to this. This is terrible. There are only two Fairies left in the world now."

Siran: "Where are you taking her?"

Siusha: "Somewhere safe. Would you keep Seria's birth a secret? She's already lost her memories and looks just like a Human. It won't be too bad for her to live as a Human."

Siran: "Oh, before you go, would you take a look at this? Do you know who owns this decoration?"

Siusha: "Is this a headdress or a brooch? Hm, I can't think of anyone right now. If I remember anything, you'll be the first one to know."

Siran: "Okay. I'll pay you a visit later. You should go back to the present and report to Siusha. Time has passed long enough for her to remember something. Keep in mind that she wont remember this since this time and place where we met her is not the present."
Objectives Return to Siusha in the present and ask about the owner of the ornament.

Tracing the Suspect

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Epidemic
Briefing Siran: "So this is a Dark Elf accessory. Whoever owns this has something to do with the plague that destroyed Noire Ferra. Our nest destination has been chosen for use: Noire Ferra when the plague ran rampant. You can use the Time Gate to go back to that time. Go there and look for her traces. I traveled to that Dark Elf village several times, and I couldn't get used to the noxious air. Most people die as soon as they breath the air, but you'll do just fine. Objectives Find Militia Captain Hogas, use the Treatment on him, and then ask him for feedback. Report to Siran.

Traveling Further across Time

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Epidemic
Briefing Siran: "Whoever spread the plague should have left Noire Ferra by now. They wouldn't want to be here when Delezie is raising hell. This means we have to move to the time when he opened up the Interdimensional Rift, but moving to an exact point of time is not easy. The Time Gate lets you travel into the past, but it doesn't allow many choices in the destination. We can't always go back to the time we want. It's not impossible, though. I can tweak the Time Gate mechanism to allow the option to travel across time. Go back to the Time Gate and bring me the Time Vestiges. I need them to mess with the Time Gate."

The disease samples you brought me showed the hosts were suffering from the same pain we had in the past. This disease infests not just the body, but also the mind. Also, Noire Ferra was where Klonter and I grew up. I want to help the people from whom you found the disease samples. Would you help me? If you could, then please come to see me."

Quest Giver Alchemist Morgan

But first I have to ask you a favor. I used up all the samples you brought the last time, and I can't make the treatment without them. Would you bring me as many samples of the Epidemic as you can? I'll be ready to make good use of the samples you bring."

To a Past Lawless District

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Organization! The Kartel
Briefing Siran: "You came. I was about to give the Time Gate another try. I might have been too exhausted from frequent trips I made before I met you to bring the exact time slot into focus. Hey, don't give me that look. You won't be young forever, either, you know? ...No matter how hard I try, I'm sent to the dusty Lawless District every time. I didn't think about the district, though, since it's unlike any other place I've been in, and no interdimensional rift was discovered in there. But who knows? We might find that person's traces in the Lawless District. Why don't you go check? Find out more about that cloth while you're at it."

He might have taken notice of something we're missing. Empyrean is far, but I need you to go there and feel him out. Something serious has to have happened for him to turn his back on his friends and the Kartel."

Level 70
Quest Giver Sandstorm Varracht
Briefing Varracht: "I told you. I didn't like the direction the Kartel was heading. It was no longer the ideal organization that I thought I was taking part in creating, so I left. What direction was it heading? Hm... At a certain point of time, I started taking notice of strange behavior in my colleagues. At first I suspected of some king od epidemic that affected people's brains, but I thought better of it because they didn't act crazily."

<Player>: "What kind of epidemic?"

Varracht: "They would fall asleep all of a sudden and wouldn't wake up, even if you shook them hard. I don't know about anywhere else in Empyrean, but that strange syndrome was prevalent throughout the Lawless District at that time. And everyone who fell asleep would wake up a completely different person, with single-minded determination to satisfy all his desires. ...What's wrong? You look pale all of a sudden."
Objectives Relay Varracht's account to Siran.

Young Gizel

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran

Briefing Siran: "And by the time you went up to Empyrean and looked for the Black Nightmare, all of its traces have vanished already. Varracht said his colleagues became obsessed with their desires. Aganzo and Bwanga said violence isn't the only side effect of the Black Nightmare. I think the Black Nightmare eats at the rational side of its victim's brain, causing him to act on impulse."

<Player>: "No..."

Siran: "At least the leaders of Empyrean weren't affected by it. What happened happened, but we can't let it happen again. Now that we know Varracht wasn't affected by the Black Nightmare, it's time we check the last person we haven't talked to."

What kind of technology did you use? Cloning? Even the other Shards can't copy my technology in such a short period of time. Gizel's Testament

Level 70
Quest Giver Dr. Gizel
Briefing Dr. Gizel: "It's hard to believe, but I don't think you're lying. Interesting... Maybe I should integrate time technology into my Mecha Gizel as well. All right, I'll tell you something that might interest you. I've been keeping an eye on the Kartels because they've been acting suspiciously. They used to be a bunch of small-time criminals, and suddenly they've grown big enough to take over the entire district. Is that guy Enzo Sipo such a good leader? To me, he looks like just a common gunslinger. I believe he's backed by another, bigger organization that wants o grow the Kartel for some reason. Um, wait... Maybe she has something to do with it. A woman clad in a black hood sneaked up on me. I thought she wanted to kill me, jealous of my genius, you know. I was wrong. Instead, she wanted to recruit me into her organization. She said I should quit the Seven Shards and become their scientific advisor position. It wasn't worth listening to her proposal, so I declined. Something about her, though, left a strong impression on me. I can't help but think she's the mysterious patron of the Kartel."

<Player>: "I see. One last question: you're one of the Seven Shards. Why are you staying here with the Kartels?"

Dr. Gizel: "Isn't that obvious? They let me do whatever I want, and I've got so many genius ideas that I want to try out. The Seven Shards are incomplete without me. The others can't complain wherever I am, whatever I do!"

I tried to bring it up to the others, but they dismissed me. They said they were only trying to grow the Kartel. You think the Kartel is devolving because of the sleep-inducing epidemic. What sleep-inducing epidemic? I've never heard of such a funny disease. Everything in the Kartel will be back to normal soon. You'll see. Enzo hasn't forgotten why we wanted to create the Kartel."
Objectives Report to Siran that you failed to persuade Varracht.

Accursed Imposters

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Black Crusade
Briefing Siran: "Terrible, huh? It was hell on Earth. Your comrades turned into Imposters, and you were forced to kill them before they kill you. Hell is the only word that can describe the situation back then. The Priests failed to eliminate the threat of the Imposters, but they restored peace back to Arad. You'd better stay sharp when you enter the Black Crusade to look for traces of the woman. From here on, survival is also one of our goals, so go cull Imposters. You can't find anything if you're dead now, can you?"

Okay, with a little more stimulation, your Demonization process will be complete. Here's a simple mission for you. Get rid of some of the Priests that resist our legion. The sensation you feel when the evil part of you coming to the surface of your mind is like no other. I have a more tempting proposition for you. You should have heard of a leader of the Priests, Shapiro Gracia. He's a thorn in our side. I want to tear him into pieces, but he's tightly guarded by numerous Priests and protective wards. Powerful Mages of Pandemonium

Level 70
Quest Giver Iris
Briefing Iris: "If the mage really opened an interdimensional rift and sealed away a powerful entity like Ozma, he must have been a master of his craft. I know a few mages in Pandemonium have that kind of power. Of course, none of them is a match for Hilder. Hilder didn't seal away Ozma, though. The Apostles do not interfere with each other. And opening am interdimensional rift isn't difficult. I once participated in the Empire's experiment on opening one, though it ended with an irreparable mistake."

Destroying the Electricity Transformer

Level 70
Quest Giver Iris
Dungeon Confidential Area
Briefing Iris: "Have we met before? Strange. I've never seen you before, and yet you feel very familiar to me. This place suffocates me. I regret ever participating in this atrocious experimentation. I lost my good judgment when Leon promised full support for the reconstruction of Pandemonium. The Empire is experimenting on anything that it can get its hands on, animals and human slaves alike. I never wanted this. Leon is out of his mind. He's obsessed with the power of the Metastasis. I don't want any more people and animals to fall victim to Leon's madness. We must stop the Empire's experimentation before it brings about a disaster. We humans are not ready to control the inderdimensional rift of the Metastasis. They'll just drive us to ruin. This testing ground of the Empire has a large number of power generators built of the Metastasis tests. We must destroy them all to put a stop to all this barbaric experimentation."

<Player>:: "...I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I stumbled across this report during an adventure. I was investigating the connection among the Black Nightmare, the Apostles, and the Metastasis. You know your empire did something pretty bad. I want to find out the truth and make those who are responsible for the tragedy accountable. Don't you?"

Hartz: "..." *Snort* "It's true that I'm not happy with what took place in there. Tell you what. There's this guy who I think didn't partake in the experiment, but he knows about it better than anyone else I can think of. He's in the outskirts of underfoot selling some dusty old stuff. Personal Curiosity

Level 70
Quest Giver Danjin

Briefing Danjin: "I know you're acquainted with Sir Hartz. Well, I hear things on the streets while running my business. Considering your past achievements, it's not surprising that you 'stumbled across' something like this, but whether or not I can trust you is a different matter. As far as I know, everything that was in Vilmark was burned to ashes, and for you to get this report, you must have used some special trick. I'll cooperate with you under on condition. I want you to help me satisfy my personal curiosity. The head of the laboratory was a woman named Kamina, whom I knew in the past. Could you bring me anything that belongs to her? As a person with many secrets, I know what to ask and what not to. Now, let me tell you what I know. There are no traces left in the testing ground now, but once it was used for an extremely dangerous experiment. Eyewitness Account

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Briefing Siran: "I'm not an apparition created by Sirocco. Don't worry."

Aganzo: "Your face looks the same, but somehow... Well, it doesn't matter. What brings you?"

Siran: "I feel sorry about what happened to her. If we were stronger, we wouldn't have let that happen to her."

Aganzo: "I don't want to talk about it."

Siran: "Don't be a hard-ass. I feel responsible for what happened to her, so I've been looking for its cause for a long time."

Aganzo: "For a long time? That doesn't make sense."

Siran: "Forget it. I'm saying I'm after the person who's behind all this. You and I could have seen him. Try to think of who it might be."

Aganzo: "...What did you say he looks like?"

Siran: "He was wearing a black hood and came with Imperial soldiers. He stood behind them without a word. He was watching from behind when Roxy went berserk. He disappeared afterward."

Aganzo: "(Maybe...) I'm sorry, but I really don't feel like talking."
Objectives Exit the Time Gate. Talk to Siran.

Pimples

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Briefing Siran: "Then let's try this. I remember it wasn't just the Imperial Army but Mist..."

Woo: "Master, forgive me that I couldn't come to see you earlier. How have you been? Adventurer. Thank you for taking good care of my master."

Siran: "Hmpf, you're such a spoilsport, lass. What brings you? Why don't you just go away?"

Woo: "Oh? Adventurer, you have pimples on your face. I don't remember seeing them before. Adventurer, I don't know what you're doing with my master, but don't let him stress you out so much. Maybe you need a reprieve from him."

Siran: "Hmpf!"

Woo: "Please come to me. I have a traditional remedy of Suju that works wonders for skin ailments."

Alchemist Instinct

Level 70
Quest Giver Alchemist Morgan
Briefing Morgan: "Oh, by the way, adventurer, you're covered with some luminous powder that looks like dust from moth and butterfly wings. Wait, is that the dust from Scream Moths? Where did you come in contact with such creatures?" (Morgan rummage through his belongings, and then produces a big butterfly catcher.)

<Player>: "I told you, you can't come with me..."

Morgan: "All right, then could you at least catch a Scream Moth for me? That moth is an extremely rare species found only inside the Screaming Cavern. Since Sirocco's death, its population has dwindled to the point of extinction. Please, I beg you. Bring me a Scream Moth alive."

<Player>: (Morgan's eyes are bright with feverish excitement.) "Oh, okay."

Rare Samples

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Old Screaming Cavern
Briefing Siran: "This is crazy. You're gong to use that thing to catch a moth in the Old Screaming Cavern. Hah hah hah! I haven't laughed this hard for a long time! You're cute. So cute! I can't think of any other word to describe what you're trying to do. So far you've been able to bring out inanimate objects with you, but I'm not sure if you can do living things. That also brings up the problem with the Time Lords. They've been quiet, but they might come out of hiding to stop you from taking living creatures with you. I also don't know what that will do to the Time Gate. So don't do it. Instead, why don't you get some more samples from him? That should be enough in exchange for his remedy."
Objectives Collect Scream Moth Samples from the Old Screaming Cavern, and then bring them with Morgan's Butterfly Catcher to Morgan.
Upon Completion Morgan: "You couldn't capture them alive. Well, thank you, anyway. This is plenty of samples that will last me for quite a while."

Investigate Mist

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Old Screaming Cavern
Briefing Siran: "Are you done with him? Your face is not swollen anymore. Good, we can get back to work. Kids these days are so weak that they catch all kinds of disease. Tsk, tsk. By the war, where was I? Hm... Ah, Mist! It's a group of mercenaries who will do anything for money. They were also in the Screaming Cavern, so they should know something. They could be even hiding the mage, though, seeing that he's capable of opening interdimensional rifts, he doesn't need help to hide. But he could have thought using them is a safer option. So, go find Mist."

Reporting to Hartz

<Player>: "Um... I think I should tell him. I don't think he has anything to do with Vilmark. He should know."

Underfoot's Situation

Level 70
Quest Giver Annis
Briefing <Player>: "I'm popular? Why?"

Annis: "You're the hero who saved Underfoot, of course."

<Player>: "The hero? No. I haven't done anything to deserve that kind of honor. By the way, Underfoot has a strange atmosphere. I was too busy to notice it before, but now I can tell the whole city is restless."

Annis: "Ah, well... That's because there are so many Imperial soldiers in Underfoot. The Empire is using our harbor to send its army to its ally Empyrean. Also, there are Imperial guards all over the city. Supposedly they're here to protect the citizens of Underfoot against the threat of the Black Nightmare."

<Player>: "That doesn't sound right. Why did Queen Maya let that happen?"

Annis: "I don't think she wanted to. Many things happened since you left for Empyrean. Oh, that's right--you know Klonter, right? Maybe he can tell you more about our situation."

Invasion of the Empire

Level 70
Quest Giver Klonter
Briefing Klonter: "This has been going on for a while now. The rest of the world doesn't know this yet, but the Empire has been using its alliance with Empyrean [as] an excuse to use Underfoot like its base and ignore Her Majesty's authority. The Elders blame her for not declaring war against the Empire, but they're too stupid to realize our kingdom doesn't stand a chance against that international bully. Now I can see clearly that the Empire is more dangerous than anyone has ever thought. Things wouldn't have been so bad if Delezie's illusion didn't appear in Noire Ferra and wipe out our soldiers. It's too late to regret it now. Anyway, that's our situation in a nutshell. At least the Imperial soldiers aren't acting as obnoxiously as they did before Hartz took the command, but it takes more than one man to reverse the worsening relationship between us and the Empire."

The Quickening

Level 70
Quest Giver Master Siran
Dungeon Naissance
Briefing Siran: "That Dark Elf Klonter is right. Underfoot would've fallen a long time ago if it weren't for that young queen. The slow, meditated conspiracy of the Empire is finally coming to light. I wonder if that's the reason Woo's been so busy these days... Bah, I have too much on my plate to worry about her. To stop the Empire from continuing with its Metastasis research, we have to stop the mage with the ability to cause Metastasis. We don't have time to wait for Iris to finish her analysis. There's only one Time Gate left that I can open, to the Old Castle of Bakal. Do you know the three dragons Bakal created? Skasa, Spirazzi, and Hismar. You'll be sent to the time when those dragons were born. I don't know if they have anything to do with the mage, and if they don't... Nah, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Klonter: "Your Majesty, I advise you to hold off on that order. We shouldn't make a rash decision. We have to think about how the Empire would react to this."

Elder Saffron: "Iris has made great contribution to the peace of Arad. We can't question her integrity just based on a Human's claim."

Pungjin: "I don't believe Siran is lying, and now that Iris is nowhere to be found, it'll be difficult to find the truth."

Minet: "People run away when they have something to hide."

G.S.D: "Why do you accuse her? What do you have on her? You can't expect us to persecute Iris just because you believe she's evil."

Siran: "I have proof, but it's hard to explain."

Grandis: "I know you've been working with a few adventurers to investigate the Metastasis. And a while ago, I got ahold of a letter, which I firmly believe to have come from the past."

Sharan: "Siran, did you open the Time Gate? Oh, my! Are you the Time Traveler in the legend?"

Siran: "I'm not aware of such a legend, but yes. I was able to travel across time, though I can only access time slots related to the Metastasis. All the time slots I traveled point at one personL Iris Fortunesinger, and adventurers can back me up on this. I don't care if you believe it or not. Just don't get in my way. Got it?"

In Search of Iris 2

Level 70
Quest Giver Iris's Note
Briefing Iris's Note: "Surprisingly, the hair the adventurer brought to me was mine that I used a long time ago. It was cast with the spell I used for the Concerto of Dominance, and judging by the structure of the spell, I believe it was cast on Mist Executive Kane, who was found dead in the Screaming Cavern. The hair was enchanted, but there's no way it could retain the spell for decades. That adventurer was hiding something from me. I followed him and saw him meeting with Siran. I always thought Siran was inept at magic, but he proved me wrong by casting a complicated interdimensional teleport spell right before my eyes. The interdimensional gate he created was more sophisticated and refined than mine, and also more stable. It won't be easy, but I may be able to use magic to pass through the gate without alerting him."

Seria: "Stay alive and stay with us. That's how. I don't think everything you've done was a lie. Those smiles you showed me sometimes. I don't think Hilder made you do that. Iris, you're not an evil person. We believe in you, Iris. Stay with us."

Iris's Recovery

Level 70
Quest Giver Sharan
Dungeon Awakening (Dungeon)
Briefing Sharan: "That's bad, but it's Iris who opened the space on the other side of the Time Gate. I can't say I know what's going [on] in there. If the Iris who was possessed by the prophecy remains in there, then she's the source of the evil energy. Now waking up Iris has become out priority. Iris is at her weakest, having lost all her mana... Speaking of which, perhaps we can harvest mana from the opened space and use it to heal Iris quickly. I'll give you a magic orb. Perhaps use it to harvest mana and bring it back to me. I'll use it to heal Iris"
Objectives Collect 4 Mana-charged Magic Orbs from the Awakening dungeon.
Upon Completion Sharan: "Welcome back. Let's treat Iris."

The Evil Energy Remains

Level 70
Quest Giver Iris
Dungeon Awakening (Dungeon)
Briefing Iris: "Thank you for helping me recover, Adventurer. I don't know how to repay you. Tell me about the space. You've found the version of me when I was possessed by the prophecy in there. But the mana I used to create the space should have dissipated when I fell. Maybe the remnants of the dark evil energy that escaped my body created an apparition of me. The remnants of the energy shouldn't be left alone. Please defeat the apparition and seal the evil energy."
Objectives Collect 1 Evil Energy from Icon-Iris Fortune Singer.png Iris Fortune Singer in the Awakening dungeon.
Upon Completion Iris: "This is evil energy that controlled me. I can still hear the terrifying voice of the prophecy."

Floating Creatures

Level 70
Quest Giver Iris
Dungeon Awakening (Dungeon)
Briefing Iris: "The space still remains open? How could it be? You collected all the evil energy, and yet the puppets and dolls didn't stop attacking you. Is it possible that the evil energy remains? I sealed away all the evil energy you collected last time. I doubt much of it remains in the space, but the threat is all the same. Please collect all the magical energy you can find from the puppets and toys. I'll look into it."
Objectives Collect 40 Mysterious Magic Energies from the Awakening dungeon.
Upon Completion Iris: "This... It has the imprint of my magic, but... I can't figure out what it is."

Unknown Power

Level 70
Quest Giver Iris
Briefing Iris: "How strange! There's a subtle yet pure strength in this mana. It's originated from me, but I'm not familiar with it at all. Ironic, isn't it? Maybe Seria can tell me more about it. Please ask Seria about this."
Objectives Bring the Mysterious Magic Energies to Seria.

Pure Heart

Level 70
Quest Giver Seria Kirmin
Briefing Seria: "*Chuckle* This proves that I was right. This is Iris's pure mind. She was so worried about hurting you and others, she left part of her mind in the creatures of her space to keep us out. This is her protective instinct. Can you feel the warmth of purity? Those puppets and toys will remain in that space to keep everyone out. We can keep this in mind with us, and use it to build a bright future with Iris."
Objectives Relay Seria's message to Iris.
  • Meet Iris: 0/1
Upon Completion Iris: "Ah, I didn't know I left that part of me in there... Can I really stay with you? I'll spend the rest of my life to protect you because you've given me a new life."

Help the Animals

Level 70
Quest Giver Iris

Briefing Iris: "Have we met before? Strange. I've never seen you before, and yet you feel very familiar to me. This place suffocates me. I regret ever participating in this atrocious experimentation. I lost my good judgment when Leon promised full support for the reconstruction of Pandemonium. I knew what the Empire is doing to animals and human slaves is wrong. What I wanted isn't this. Leon is out of his mind. He's obsessed with the power of the Metastasis. I don't want any more people and animals to fall victim to Leon's madness. We've just met, but I'd like to ask you for help. Would you release the animals locked up in those cages? I can't leave because the Empire is watching my moves closely."

We must destroy them all to put a stop to the barbaric experimentation."
