Welcome back

Hey snafuPop. Welcome back.

I've noticed that you've been making strides to improve the wiki's homepage user interface. I'm very interested to hear more about your vision, so would you consider joining the DFO World Wiki Editors Discord Server? We may be able to help you in your endeavor and provide you with feedback.

Me and several of the other active editors are currently discussing the update priorities for the wiki on the server. We'd love to have your input on the matter. Feel free to join us at any time.

Cheers~

Concerning DNF Extractor

Does using this affect the game client in any way, shape or form; or does it make copies of the ver4 files in order to convert those copies to ver2 files? I ask that question because I want to extract images of the new Barrier Caster monster (and Contamination Carina as well). Also, could you explain how you extract images for the purpose of uploading them? (A video could also be nice for all that. I asked CitricCurrent about this.)

I probably retains the original file during the conversion process, otherwise that tool would be really silly to use, but I suppose you can copy+paste a file to make sure.

For uploading images, I just use DNF Extractor or DFO Toolbox, find the .npk that has the kind of image I'm looking for, then extract it as a .png or animated .gif (depending on what I need).

Everything that I know about DNF Extractor and its functions was from this guide

Whenever I tried to view the image of Contamination Carina, the program crashes. Also, how skilled are you at making a video?

UPDATE: Strangely enough, I could view the image of (Count?) Yazov.

Oh yeah, some of the Luke mob files crashes DNF Extractor. I don't actually know what's up with that.

Insignias and Gems

Hey SnafuPop. Would you happen to know of or have a guide to the Insignias and Gems added from this past update? I can't seem to find one in game.

11:01, 6 July 2016

Nevermind, I found one. Here are the links: [1] and [2]. Though we don't have the correct translated names or have drop locations. Anyway, I guess we can add those two things to the front page too.

11:07, 6 July 2016

Thanks for the research! For the time being I'll create the Insignia and Gem pages and add whatever I can (I'll probably treat those pages like the Monster Card page). It'll take some time to gloss over those pages, but I'll add them eventually.

You can make separate pages for insignias now, like every other piece of equipment. Gems will still have to work like the Monster Card page for now though.

Do you know if legendary insignias can drop from guild dungeons? I was creating the pages for the legendary insignias, but didn't actually know whether they drop or not. Haven't heard of anyone getting a legendary insignia yet.

Okay, for the most part, the Gem page is done. I don't believe there are any Gems past Royal though.

As for legendary insignia, I have no idea. I've heard of Uniques dropping from monsters but not legendaries. I'll finish up the commons and the uncommon insignia. I only have 4 of the 7 rare ones, so I don't know the exact names for the other three.

Question: Are the small icons on the right bottom corner of the insignia the monster it drops from?

06:21, 7 July 2016

No. I assume Neople just used them to create multiple icons more easily.

For titles, you can now use "image" for the little title image. Everything else is fine!

That looks much better, thanks for the addition!
