Lore
Character Profile:
Veara, the cruelest of all Ghostfaces that moved to Pandemonium, made a contract with an ancient demon for his power.
Since the contract, his appearance changed gradually, and now he looks closer to being a demon than a Ghostface, with his oversize horns and leathery wings.
He voluntarily joined Luke the Constructor to further enhance his body, but he's too proud and dignified to submit to him.
He freely goes in and out of the Castle of the Dead to find and fight strong opponents, and plans to eliminate Luke and take over his castle one day. [1]
Move Set
- Spinning Strike: Veara kneels to the ground and hops into the air by striking down the floor with his sword that creates red large spires infront of him. The move itself is avoidable with y-axis movements and causes moderate to heavy damage if players come in contact.
- Tornado Slash: Veara swipes his sword and creates a tornado that moves in a straight-line. Very avoidable, otherwise deals moderate damage upon being hit.
- Light Orb: The screen turns dark and Veara will summon six light orbs and fires them straight towards players. This too can be avoided as it causes heavy to lethal damage upon contact. This attack only occurs when he gets back up from being knocked down.
- Self-Harm: Veara stabs himself in the chest and fires out a blood stream in a straight line. He will appear at the very side of the map to charge and unleash this attack that reaches to the opposite side of the map. Be careful to avoid this as getting caught into the stream will have you captured in a bubble and dealt with moderate to heavy damage.
- The power of the devil is back!: There is a casting gauge below that charges up throughout his fight, once the gauge completely fills, that's when Veara prepares to unleash two different attacks:
- Extreme Overkill "A pitiful wretch..." Veara goes airborne and does his own variation of the Berserker's First Awakening, where he'll strike down to knock away players and creates multiple blood explosions that can cause fatal damage if pulled into the red line. Quick Rebound can be used to avoid taking damage from this pattern.
- Devil’s Shaman: "A poor wretch..." Veara charges a shock wave that hits screen wide and launches party members into the air. He'll capture the airborne players and throws a giant light dragon at the party with the message "The power of the devil shall eradicate you!" This attack has multi-hit properties and deals very heavy to lethal damage if caught.
Strategy
- Despite being a very powerful boss, Veara is considered a sandbag due to being suspectable towards hold-specific skills and can be easily knocked down.
- Avoid being in front of him during Light Orbs and Self-Harm when he's about to prepare the attacks.
- Time your jumps when he uses Devil’s Shaman.
