With the subclass skills being combined into just [common], should we combine the existing skills together under a [common] tab or keep them as they are.
 +
:Hmm...could you be a bit more clearer? Are you talking about grouping the general skills and general EX skills into one page? --Dfoplayer 14:04, 8 June 2012 (PDT)

::I mean like general skills that were separated by classes such as BBQ on a gunner would be under [launcher] tab but in the game is now under [common] tab, and was just wondering if we should put them under common here or keep it how it is.
 +
:::Now I'm starting to get what you mean. I think you are part of the 5,000 who was invited to PTS, so congratulations. The system you are talking about ("but in the game is now under [common] tab") isn't out yet. Anyways, it depends. If a ranger or another subclass has access to BBQ, then we could change BBQ to [common]. However, if only launcher has access to it, then lets leave it as it is.--Dfoplayer 14:19, 8 June 2012 (PDT)

:I have some information on the Arad Senki Animation.  It is called Slap-Up Party.  It's about a slayer partying up with some people.  It's really funny and it was released before the game was.  The anime is a little different than the game.  The gunner, who's name a Cabensis, is more like a Ranger/Mechanic/Launcher.  He does the awakening move for ranger, has a mechanical robot called Cabencho, and once used the M-3 Flamethrower.  Each character's personality is different from each other's.  I think this was a really good and funny anime.  Just look it up on google and you can find it anywhere.  The Arad-Senki Official Website should have it for download---Regards, TechnicalDeath 05:17, 20 Oct.ober 2009 (UTC)

Continuation/Alteration of the Wiki
DFO Lore
+
Even though DFO is being shut down, I think we should still keep the Wiki up and running, as well as possibly change it to be an English Wiki for CDnF, since that's where everyone seems to be going. That would include updating everything to where it's all at in CDnF, possibly adding translations to things to assist in-game navigation. Obviously it would make more sense to do this once DFO is actually gone, but maybe some people could get started by creating a second Wiki, then transfer everything? I have yet to see an English CDnF Wiki, and I'm sure others would appreciate it as well. Zsashas (talk) 09:12, 18 May 2013 (PDT)

Do we have people still on board for updating this wiki come March? I would like to start getting data ready from KDNF to be able to verify, adjust and add to the wiki once it opens. As it stands, I am gathering data for 1-54 and 70+ questlines (except for dialogue as it will not be a direct translation from KDNF, I'm sure) - post-NB skill changes to the proper articles, and videos and pages for new skills and classes. Has anyone been in contact with the wiki owner, either? There was no follow up from the earlier topic. == We Have Competition! O.O ==
+
Changing "EX" headers and categories
Looks like the other wiki somewhat ahead with formatting. We should copy their formating later on (*just like mabiguru+mabinogiworld* lol), and overtake them lol. Their wiki is more pleasant to view imo. http://wiki.dfosource.com --Hengsheng120 14:30, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

:Since the beginning of Mabinogi World Wiki, our admin team's motto always have been work hard on our contents. Personally I don't find it amusing having content to copy paste without a single effort involved. Plus, don't drag the wiki into this whole "competition" business. There isn't one to begin with, and their admin's ultimate goal and our admin's goal completely differ. --Uchocobo 16:58, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

::Can you explain the different goals of the two wikis? I'm confused. If there are common goals, I think that we should all work together to make a single wiki with quality information. I'm looking forward to contribute to both wikis and do not know how to make them unique. Otherwise, "competition" comes naturally over time (and eventually, one of the wikis will become less used/abandoned). --Hengsheng120 18:26, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

::Frankly speaking, I'm open to the idea of how all of us should be working together on a single wiki. Unfortunately, the truth wasn't that pleasant once we started out with Mabinogi World Wiki first. Most of the collaboration requests from other admins we've received were nothing more than "We want your content, hand it over so we can profit." Even the idea of having NA fansite union was neglected due to the other admins disliking it being non-profit and rejection of their collaboration offer. In our side's definition, content of wiki doesn't belong to admins/moderators. It is solely property of the community itself, as every contributors put their effort in constructing it. Since we are also involving contents from foreign fansites, it is crucial to keep our transparency of being non-profit web community. None of the admins earned single cent thus far. In fact, I've been spending my own pocket money and time since I treat wiki activity as a hobby. With this in mind, the admin of the site you mentioned has no intention to abide by this conduct... at least last time I encountered him due to unpleasant incident. You can search old threads in the forums if you are curious. And yes, if there are committed group of individuals working on DFO wiki that has better potential with right set of mind, I'm even willing to "hand over" the contents for work together to construct a wiki with high quality information for all players. For related discussion for this, let's take it to the forums next time instead. =/ --Uchocobo 02:28, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

:::Most of their format looks like it was taken from mabiguru. I'm not a fan of their format. -Tea 19:45, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

::::Their website looks bad(no offense).  They don't really have an organized thing.  If they are just going to let their "monster" thing sit there with about 3 or 4 things, and then more are added, its going to get bad(still, no offense).  I don't like their formatting.  I viewed the classes page, and there was a lot of incomplete info.  Their quest page looks messy too.  In my opinion, I think this is a better page.---Regards, TechnicalDeath 05:11, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

The proper term for the upgrade skills is "TP Skills" regardless of the "EX" on their icon, as referenced in the New Balance 3 patch when Creator and DK got their TP skills as shown here. The level 65 and 70 "EX" labelled skills no longer have the "EX" by their icon (and some have totally new icons) and are unlocked upon awakening as full-fledged skills, an example of the level 65 Blade Master skill Charge Burst: was changed from the old . These skills should be in the same category as Awakening Skills, just like how 2nd Awakened characters get an addition 3 skills to go with their 2nd Awakening Active. There are several skill planners on the web including one on the Korean Nexon site. Aradsociety has just put up their translated skill planner as well. I believe that these are valuable resources that can be linked through this wiki. I haven't come up with a way to include a link that would be consistent and non-intrusive to the rest of the wiki.

Alpha Test...?
I think it is much needed that we need to format the monster pages into categories similar to that of the mabi wiki. I have started pages for some of the monsters, but they need to be grouped into one page. I would do this myself but I somewhat lack time and knowledge of wiki formatting, so anyone who could do this would have my thanks. Shadofrak 21:40, 11 October 2009

*Damage

*Attack type (how many hits? long range or close range?  Piercing?  Blunt? Fire?)

*Aggro?  (is there even a measurable aggro rate in this game?)

*Notes

And it's compounded by the issue of whether or not any of these stats change depending on the dungeon level. Ouch. Perhaps we shouldn't be thinking of these in Mabi wiki terms yet?  Unless someone has access to the game's data files... -- Ladywinter 05:48, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

::::Hey can I jump in here? I believe that I can enlighten on this subject. Try linking to this link: DfCentral. It was present in the reddit link. This link is actually accurate to supporters. From what I have witnessed, the Volunteer system only allows the user to use Cube skills from level 35+ from their Supporters. Also the skill's base level is the same and the cooldown is slightly longer than the original.  The Mana cost is reduced to about slightly more than half the original cost.  As the TAB quote says under the selected skill: "The Reinforcement's skill/items affect your options and Attack Strength while you play in dungeons." Summons like the Female Mechanic's Air Bomb Mech: Gale Force function as normal, and travel with you throughout the dungeon. In order to have a Supporter, the character on your account must be Lv 50+ and must have achieved their first job advancement. Characters like my Lv 50 Thief cannot be summoned... When the character is summoned, if they are interrupted during casting time, the skill is cancelled and goes on cooldown.
 +
::::Also this has to be noted, when you have a character reaches Lv 70+ you unlock the Mercenaries Tab in the Arad Explorer Club window. I don't have any characters at Lv 70, but my friend does.  He says that it enables your character to do runs in dungeons automatically while you go offline and does not consume fatigue, but in exchange the character becomes disabled for the set period. I think we should have a quest section because I'm like level 21 and my friends are new to this game and they don't know where to get quest.  If there is a quest section here, I think it will make it a lot easier for people to find quest and have more fun on DFO instead of being clueless about what to do and just leave the game.  ---Regards, TechnicalDeath 02:58, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

2010-2011 Issues have been placed here

Male/Female Mage on the main page

The Male Mage links are apart from the Female Mage, which isn't like the others. Now that I uploaded the Male Mage's icon, can anyone who's able to mod the main page please put them together like the others? Copain 01:21, 9 January 2012 (PST)

Alright. It's fixed.--Dfoplayer 10:46, 9 January 2012 (PST)

Subclass separated skills

With the subclass skills being combined into just [common], should we combine the existing skills together under a [common] tab or keep them as they are.

Hmm...could you be a bit more clearer? Are you talking about grouping the general skills and general EX skills into one page? --Dfoplayer 14:04, 8 June 2012 (PDT)
I mean like general skills that were separated by classes such as BBQ on a gunner would be under [launcher] tab but in the game is now under [common] tab, and was just wondering if we should put them under common here or keep it how it is.
Now I'm starting to get what you mean.
Yeah i was, thanks. I'm pretty sure that's how it's put out for all the main classes but i'll double check when the servers back up, also is there a better way to talk than using this?--Jgillotti13 14:35, 8 June 2012 (PDT)
Well, we could use the IRC channel. Head to here [1]. Do note that I usually don't hang out there, but this is an exception.--Dfoplayer 14:44, 8 June 2012 (PDT)

Continuation/Alteration of the Wiki

What should the context be in terms of time? The events end in KST Mikaya (talk) 21:58, 20 May 2014 (PDT)
Probably. In Mabinogi Wiki, you can mouse over PST and see the different times. We should look into that template.--Dfoplayer (talk) 06:58, 21 May 2014 (PDT)
Apparently, DFO's parser is not up to date and can't get the mouseover times box to work correctly. --Dfoplayer (talk) 08:34, 21 May 2014 (PDT)
I thought the admin gave the wiki away to someone and deleted this site. But it'll be nice to continue and get updated extensions. Tea (talk) 10:40, 21 May 2014 (PDT)

DFO Beta and the Wiki

Do we have people still on board for updating this wiki come March? I would like to start getting data ready from KDNF to be able to verify, adjust and add to the wiki once it opens. As it stands, I am gathering data for 1-54 and 70+ questlines (except for dialogue as it will not be a direct translation from KDNF, I'm sure) - post-NB skill changes to the proper articles, and videos and pages for new skills and classes. Has anyone been in contact with the wiki owner, either? There was no follow up from the earlier topic. LuminantAegis (talk) 17:40, 16 November 2014 (PST)

I don't actually know if there are any editors. I am in college since last year and haven't been able to play games much. I have no information concerning the site owner. Feel free to add anything to this wiki. --Dfoplayer (talk) 17:46, 16 November 2014 (PST)
That doesn't bode well. I'll try to contact someone, in that case. I used to heavily contribute to a wiki on a different server, but that wiki seems to have up and disappeared without notice. Call it paranoia. LuminantAegis (talk) 18:00, 16 November 2014 (PST)
How do we want to handle new information pre-march then? Edit it into the wiki and tag it as upcoming content?
Most likey, yes. Although I don't know how accurate your pre-march source is. Neople changes the skill data every so often, so at some point, I gave up on posting skill attack percentages.--Dfoplayer (talk) 07:06, 21 November 2014 (PST)
"Go into live kDNF/cDNF (since they have the latest major balance patch to my knowledge, but I'll definitely verify that), start plugging numbers/data, change them when we find out that we're not patched to current." Yeah, they change a bit and they'll need to be redone in March, but there's still a lot to be done regardless, skills or otherwise. I'm willing to be on top of that. LuminantAegis (talk) 13:57, 2 December 2014 (PST)

Changing "EX" headers and categories

The proper term for the upgrade skills is "TP Skills" regardless of the "EX" on their icon, as referenced in the New Balance 3 patch when Creator and DK got their TP skills as shown here. The level 65 and 70 "EX" labelled skills no longer have the "EX" by their icon (and some have totally new icons) and are unlocked upon awakening as full-fledged skills, an example of the level 65 Blade Master skill Charge Burst: Charge Burst.png was changed from the old File:ChargeBuster.gif. These skills should be in the same category as Awakening Skills, just like how 2nd Awakened characters get an addition 3 skills to go with their 2nd Awakening Active. LuminantAegis (talk) 21:02, 17 January 2015 (PST)

I see. Currently, the old EX skils are under "EX skills" category. Also, some have "(subclass) EX skills" category, such as Shining_Ice_Fence. We would need a replace text extension. --Dfoplayer (talk) 21:10, 17 January 2015 (PST)
All the skills need to be updated anyways, I'll just do it as I go LuminantAegis (talk) 22:49, 17 January 2015 (PST)
Alright. If I have some free time, I'll start changing the old ones as well as deleting cancel skils. How about EX icons? I take it we are gonna update them as well?--Dfoplayer (talk) 22:52, 17 January 2015 (PST)
Yeah. It's only the active skill icons that changed though so it's not a big deal. LuminantAegis (talk) 16:37, 18 January 2015 (PST)
I see you added NavskillsCreator. The old classes don't have a NavSkill. Are we gonna make them too?--Dfoplayer (talk) 17:11, 18 January 2015 (PST)
Yes, I create the navbar after I've "completed" the class because of dropped / created skills from balance patches. LuminantAegis (talk) 00:31, 19 January 2015 (PST)

Alpha Test...?

The header should read "The Dungeon Fighter Online Beta Test (Part 1) will be released on [March 24th.]

Adding what TAB skills each subclass can use on their pages

It's was surprisingly challenging to find this info via Googling. Therefore I'd like to request that we add them to the subclass pages. Here are most of them: http://redd.it/31in79

Are you talking about the Volunteer System?--Dfoplayer (talk) 12:24, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
Yes. We also need a page explaining what the Volunteer system is. Same thing with Mercenaries.
Yes, we should have those systems. Feel free to add anything you find on them. I have not reached lv50 yet, and I don't read overseas updates. Here, I started Volunteer System for you. If you have never edited a wiki before, you can start by reading How to get started and my talk page section Skill Tables??? --Dfoplayer (talk) 12:59, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
Hey can I jump in here?
Also this has to be noted, when you have a character reaches Lv 70+ you unlock the Mercenaries Tab in the Arad Explorer Club window. I don't have any characters at Lv 70, but my friend does. He says that it enables your character to do runs in dungeons automatically while you go offline and does not consume fatigue, but in exchange the character becomes disabled for the set period. I believe that he said it grants EXP, which is irrelevant to Lv 70 characters, but that EXP builds up to create 1000k EXP potions which are tradable to other characters in the same account.
Of all things however, I believe that there needs to be a page on the Arad Explorer Club or something related to it.
