The meeting with him was during an autumn's short lived sun passing through the western mountain.
The man who displayed the piercing from Suju's sharpness and the swing from empire's movement had a distinct smell of piled sand.
He who overwhelmed others with strong and fast spearsmanship was rained with cheers, but there was a feeling that he was
trying his best to suppress something.

I was able to learn what the man was guarding through the words of my master.
He was someone who was able to handle the 'Demonic Lance's horrendous power. More naturally than a magician using magic.
However, he was suppressing the 'Demonic Lance' with all his strength. Occasionally he used it, but the vicious energy was never felt.
Is that why? Meeting a 'Demonic Lancer' personally, but there was no hostility. His spearsmanship was truly powerful.
It's as if he displayed the height of ability that the humans can attain.
I, who have carved the memory of the man's departure towards a different place before the sun rise have heard a certain rumor after a short period of time.

There's someone known as 'Duelist', visiting various places to learn martial arts through battles.
Without a confirmation, I knew it was a rumor of that man.
How much did he enjoy dueling to be bestowed with a such a name...
A brawler crazy for duels? I always thought of him as a true warrior, but was left with a heavy disappointment. I inquired my master.

"There's a many way of fulfillment, but looking at him only concentrated with dueling. Is it not that he wishes to show off his abilities?"

"It must be in order to discard even a second earlier"

"What does he want to discard so badly to do such a thing?"

"That's something only he must know. However, recall his spearsmanship. Are you able to come to a conclusion?"

I closed my mouth. The power of 'Demonic Lance' he has refused to use till the end. Realizing his true intention, my face turned bright red.
I wish to speak of this if I ever meet someone with the same misunderstanding.

Unable to realize the agony and the torture he has gone through to suppress the cursed power of 'Demonic Lance'.

Ignoring the corrosive power of the Demonic Lance, the Skirmisher chooses to train heavily with the lance, engaging in lightning fast attacking and combos, leaving no openings for his enemies.

  • At level 50, the Skirmisher awakens as a Highlander. At level 75, the Highlander awakens as a Durandal.
  • His subclass cosmetic effect is a ghostly white mirage that briefly appears whenever he stands idle.
  • His second subclass cosmetic effect puts him into a crouching stance with the white mirage briefly appearing behind him.

Awakening as a Highlander

Asking the 'Highlanders' who has managed to survive from wandering around for almost an eternally is waste of time.
They have forgotten who they are and does not carry a single thing of value.
However, do you need anything other than duels for warriors? A bitter past, detached ideal.
Have those good-for-nothing words ever become a shield?
'Highlanders' displays their value through actions. Dashing through the field of grassland and opposing the razor sharp wind, just like a warrior.
Not saddened by the fact that he wasn't born as a king and he also does not pray to God for good fortune.
Not saddened by those who became lonely home protection dogs without anything left to their name.
Death is just a death, not shaken by any reason, he has the closest appearance of a true warrior.

When everything is about to crumble, refusing to become stepping stone, a 'Highlander'. The primeval life of a warrior breathes through these men.
