Chronicle Equipment are special, untradable pieces of equipment that are identified by a salmon-colored name and are related to the Otherverse dungeons. Chronicle Equipment are also one of the few ways the Exorcism stat can be attained. While individual pieces of equipment are relatively weak, they gain exponential power when used as a set. In-game, Chronicle Equipment are categorized into three tiers: 1st Chronicle, 2nd Chronicle, and 3rd Chronicle.

As of the Origin Update, 1st Chronicle Equipment are no longer obtainable and of the Ascension Update and the removal of Otherverse dungeons, 2nd and 3rd Chronicle Equipment are no longer obtainable, removing the equipment tier out of the game entirely.

Tiers and Acquisition

In-game, Chronicle Equipment are categorized into three tiers: 1st Chronicle, 2nd Chronicle, and 3rd Chronicle.

1st Chronicle

1st Chronicle Equipment are level 60 pieces of equipment that could be bought from Sharan with Chaos Stone.png Chaos Stones. While relatively weak overall, they could be used as stepping stones to obtain higher level Chronicle Equipment, although this is not necessary. There are 1st Chronicle Weapons for all classes and 1st Chronicle Sets for all armor masteries.

Ordinary Equipment

Ordinary pieces are not associated with a set and modifies a specific skill. The various modifiers offer slight bonuses to skills and are denoted by certain prefixes.

3rd Chronicle

3rd Chronicle Equipment are level 70 pieces of equipment that could either be bought from Ludmilla with Interdimensional Fragment.png Interdimensional Fragments, Alisha Arden with Dimensional Fragment.png Dimensional Fragments, or found as drops in either Expert or higher difficulty Otherverse Dungeons. 3rd Chronicle Equipment exists as Tainted or Cracked pieces and Set pieces.

Tainted and Cracked Equipment

Tainted and Cracked equipment are associated with subclasses and begin with no modifiers. However, they can be upgraded to augment a variety of skills associated with the denoted subclass through the use of various colored Dimensional Auras:

A single piece of tainted equipment can have two auras applied to it. While the first aura is guaranteed to apply successfully, applying the second aura has a chance of destroying the equipment.

Upgrading

While most Chronicle Equipment are either Level 60 or 70, they could be upgraded so that their stats match those of higher leveled equipment through the use of Dimensional Energy Imparters purchased from Woon Lyonir up to Level 90. This is recommended for characters with particularly strong Chronicle set effects that can compete with other non-Chronicle set effects. Upgrading requires a varying amount of Interdimensional Fragment.png Interdimensional Fragments which increase based on the target equipment's current level, reinforcement, amplification, and refinement levels.

Set Equipment

2nd and 3rd Chronicle Equipment feature three sets each for every subclass. Set pieces are rarer than Ordinary and Tainted pieces and cost more materials if purchased from an NPC. 1st Chronicle Sets apply bonuses at 3, 6, and 8 pieces while 2nd and 3rd Chronicle Sets apply bonuses at 3, 6, and 9 pieces. Set pieces can occupy every equipment slot except for the Title slot and Earrings slot.
