He is one with Isys-Prey, but separate. He who stands on the border of light, attracting darkness.

Prey-Isys (also known as The Conqueror of the Sky) is the twin persona of Isys-Prey and the once proud guardian spirit of nightfall on the planet Tayberrs. He serves as the primary antagonist of Prey-Isys Raid and is responsible for the events that occur in the Harlem Epic Quest line and indirectly causing the Pandemonium War.

Lore

Prey-Isys Raid Lore:

He and Isys-Prey were two, but existed as one.
He stood on the border of light, calling darkness.
His name was Prey-Isys.

Prey symbolized light, guarded life, and promoted prosperity; Isys represented darkness, presided over death, and sang requiems.
Two spirits in one body, one of them fell asleep when the other awoke.
When Prey awoken, he brought in light, changing night to day, and encouraged life to grow.
When Isys awoken, he cast darkness, changing day to night, and let those whose time on this realm ran out move on to the hereafter.
With these two looking after each half of the day, Tayberrs circulated and prospered.

But gradually, the balance between these two spirits was disrupted.
More habitants of Tayberrs started following Prey for his power to bring light into their lives, and their faith in him extended his time of consciousness.
The balance broke. Day lengthened.
More lives were born than those who died.

This meant Isys's time was decreasing.
Every day, fewer lives died and his power grew weaker.
Isys was losing his grip on reality as everyone around him started forgetting him...

Then, on the verge of extinction, Isys stirred awake by some new feelings: anger and hatred.
They urged him to take over the body that he shared with Prey and rule Tayberrs for both of them.

Prey sensed this change in Isys and tried to fly over to somewhere isolated.
Isys noticed what Prey was doing and lashed out.
Their fight over the domination of their body began, shattering everything around them.
Not wanting to hurt anyone else, Prey shouted Isys's name three times and expelled him out of their body.

His first calling drove Isys's mind out of the body.
His second calling gave it flesh, bones, and feathers.
At his third calling, Isys unfolded his wings.

Isys slowly flew into the air and flapped his wings languorously while Prey panted, having used all his energy to expel his other self.

Isys's first flap of wings calmed all the winds.
His second flap of wings banished all stars from the sky.
His third flap of wings cast the curtains of night over Tayberrs.

Afterward, he attacked Prey.
Their fight continued for a long time.
Day and night changed constantly, sending the world into chaos.
Everyone else shook with fear and confusion.

Days passed.
Then, suddenly night was no more. It was day.
Prey won.
Prey opened up the ground and buried Isys in the deepest part of the earth.
Just like that, Isys was locked up in a world of eternal dreams and endless night.

One day, Isys realized Prey's power that restrained him like shackles had disappeared, and soared out of the ground at once.
I'm going to end our fight once and for all. I'm going to absorb Prey and become whole.
But he couldn't find Prey anywhere on Tayberrs.

Instead, he found him somewhere else in the universe, and he knew he was getting close to him.
Because they were originally one, and because they were meant to be one.
Slowly, Isys unfolded his wings.
Soon, he would meet his other self.

Isys appears in Prey-Isys Raid as the final boss in Sky Nest.

Move Set

In two worlds, I shall deal with you!

  • Change Worldlines: Only featured in Sky Nest. When entering the boss room, party members will be divided by groups of two for either Day or Night 's world line. Depending on the setup, that opposite side is transparent and cannot be harmed by Isys' berserk patterns, but this doesn't affect his normal attacks regardless of which world the party is in. By pressing the TAB key, players can switch between either world line individually and has a 10 second cooldown after usage as this will play a huge role in Isys's fight.
  • Scratch: Isys does a close range attack with his claws with 5 - 7 feathers falling in either a straight or V-shaped line.
  • Kicking: Isys prepares a kick where a crescent wave flies forward and feathers drop in the place where that wave passed, exploding.
  • Feather Drop: Isys uses a heel kick to strike the ground, then feathers falls down from the sky getting stuck as he strikes again, causing an explosion along with those feathers.
  • Light Beam: Isys jumps up and fires out a large purple beam from his beak forward. Getting shot by it will push players back, dealing multi-hits and heavy damage.
  • One-Inch Punch: Isys borrows Female Striker's One Inch Punch.png One Inch Punch and getting hit by the attack will ignore Super Armor and pushes players to the wall.
  • Berserk: Isys has a total of four berserk patterns that are performed in a non-random order and differs greatly with the party's setup that's battling him using Worldlines. Although succeeding in each berserk will not make him enter his groggy phase, Isys receives a debuff that lowers his defenses and takes 30% damage for 30 seconds until the effect wears off.

(Under Construction)

  • The post-war world is upon us!:
    • Day:
    • Night:
  • My magic shall reach everywhere!:
    • Day:
    • Night:
  • My wind shall cleave the sky!: Isys flies up into the sky and envelops himself into a giant tornado and starts chasing down party members in their opposing world sides with different patterns between the two. If both sides managed to survive their respective patterns, Isys will then knock down the entire party and launches out a energy wave afterwards that'll instantly kill anyone who didn't use Quick Rebound.png Quick Rebound to evade the attack after being knocked down.
    • Day: A purple tornado appears that roams around where purple rings spawn below at a player's position in a two second interval, doing this a total of 9 times. Then that purple tornado moves to the room's center and those purple rings transforms into dark pillars gathering up where that tornado's position was at. Then another purple pillar emerges from outside the player's location that moves towards the central tornado.
    • Night: A red tornado appears that roams around and produces smaller tornadoes similar to Cosmo Fiend: Rosen's Storm Planet Phase in multiple directions. While the tornadoes don't push back players, they are quite fast and deal a heavy amount of damage. During this phase after a certain period of time, that red tornado moves to the room's center and fires out a total of five shockwaves that needs to be avoided by well-timed jumps.
  • I shall scatter my feathers across all worlds!:
    • Day:
    • Night:
  • I shall bring the disaster across all worlds!: This will only occur if the party failed to clear either the My magic shall reach everywhere! or The post-war world is upon us! patterns as Isys drops numerous amounts of feathers on the ground that creates circles which gradually grows, dyed black and explodes which deals potentially lethal damage if players are on those circles.
  • Groggy Phase: In order to truly get Isys into his groggy state, the party that clears Observatory of the Abyss after defeating Srim has to break the ballista which fires out a light arrow that hits and makes him fall from the sky for 20 seconds, but only when the party who's currently battling Isys is ready and gives the signal once Battleground of Chaos is cleared first.
    • Expulsion: Get out of here! After 20 seconds of his groggy phase have passed, Isys will force out the party that fought him back to Slenikon and they'll be encroached for 90 seconds, unable to battle him until they've recovered.

Trivia

  • Isys's name which actually spelt Isis is a known Goddess in ancient Egyptian Mythology and since both him and Prey are named after two different deities, this makes sense considering they both rule over Tayberrs from different sides respectively.
    • The renaming to Isys (pronounced E-sys) was likely due to avoid controversy in the Season 5: Act 05 patch.
