Go see how big our city actually is. There are some freaks up there, but you can deal with them."

Go down to the right from the Mushroom Garden, and you'll arrive at Salif, the City of Spores. There, you can see the talking ants, Namuluns. Oh, while you're at it, could you save some poor Karus from them? The Karus are good mushrooms, so don't give them a hard time. Just drive away their Namulun watchers, and the Karus will escape on their own."

What the Spirits of Silver Crown did in the fit of insanity is nothing compared to what these ants are doing to use. They're even invading people's villages. There's only so much our militiamen can do, so we've been relying on the Imperial Army. But those guys are only good for making a big show of themselves!"

Lenny: "Hey, Adventurer!"

Albert: "Oops, I hope she didn't hear me."

Lenny: "We know you've been frequenting Meltdown. That place falls under our jurisdiction, and unauthorized personnel are not allowed in there. If we catch you sneaking into that place once again, we'll throw you in jail. Got it?"

<Player>: "They're very high-handed. The villagers must not be happy with them. ...Mm? (Grubeck is calling me quietly from a corner. I should go to him.)"

If you go to Salif, make sure to destroy their formicaries first. That'll keep them distracted and keep you from being surrounded by them."

It burrows itself in the ground, so watch your step. You can lure it out by hitting the ground with weighty metal or something."

I think we're not responding to the Black Nightmare quickly enough. We need to find out what's causing it."

Faris: "I agree. I too want to know what's causing that thing, so I can crush it. It's really ticking me off! (Faris grits her teeth.) Speaking of which, why don't you do more investigating? Since the Empire approved of your coming and going wherever you go, you can go check out the Old Streets. The streets used to be filled with people, being in the heart of Hendon Myre, before they took the brunt of the Great Metastasis. You might be able to find many interesting things there."
