Example: I went into the arena and fought a computer opponent standing still. I removed all equips, including weapon, and then compared damage for the first melee attack with the stick for mage. Damage calculations

How exactly is damage determined in the game? I understand there are the various stats, but there seems to be some kind of hidden stat for balance.

Example: I went into the arena and fought a computer opponent standing still. I removed all equips, including weapon, and then compared damage for the first melee attack with the stick for mage. The damage differed in slight amounts, staying within a certain range. That range is obviously the damage balance, determining through probability how likely you are to attack at your max damage. So assuming that a hidden stat DOES exist we need to answer a few questions:

  1. Are there separate balance stats for melee and magic?
  2. If there are separate stats, are the stats altered by strength and intelligence?
  3. If there aren't separate stats, what exactly determines how much balance you have?
    1. Is the balance stat simply a fixed number that cant be increased or decreased through any means?
      1. If so, what is the number?
  4. What are the limits for the stat?
    1. Can your balance only go to a certain number or can you get 100% balance assuming it can be increased through stats?
    2. Obviously level 1 characters don't start with 0% balance; what is the minimum for balance?
  5. Is balance different when using different types of weapons?
    1. Will a staff give higher magical balance than a spear? Will a spear give higher melee balance than a staff?
  6. What is minimum damage?
    1. We only have information about what your Physical Attack against an opponent with 0 defense is, which I'm assuming is considered to be maximum damaage. Is the minimum damage 0, or is it a number that is a proportion of the Physical/Magical Attack stat?
