Intro

The same Rhaeven from DFOS and DFON. I'm the guild leader of Ingenious and am somewhat known for looking at the game's mechanics. You'll probably find some mechanics somewhere in this page that I can't find a page for in the wiki.

I'm currently filling out and editing skills for 80 cap for the classes I have interest in (Crusader, Weapon Master, Asura). One of the biggest tasks here is getting people to accept and adapt to the whole idea of an "Absolute Damage Base" instead of the displayed Fixed Damage on a tooltip that everyone's been using. Eventually, I want to work on either a generic game mechanics page or multiple pages spanning different game mechanics. We'll see. I'm mostly just editing the wiki when I find myself devoid of anything to do so it might just never happen.

Experimenting with a new way to express the damage formula

Damage = (Skill Damage)(Multipliers)(Enemy Reduction) + (Piercing)

Skill Damage = (Weapon Attack * Percent + Absolute Damage * Independent Attack)

Modifiers are anything that modifies this portion of the damage. This includes the multiplier used in every damage calculation (1 + StrInt/250)

And also the commonly used elemental damage multiplier (1 + (Elemental Attack - Elemental Defense)/222)

Enemy Reduction = Enemy Defense / (Enemy Defense + 200 * Attacker's Level)

Piercing = Percent * Weapon Piercing
