|Briefing = I've come across this stone before... though it was quite some time ago. It's some kind of a rare mana stone that's usually found in ancient ruins where the forces of shadows naturally thrive. This stone, however, cannot be used for magic spells or enchantments even with its shadow attribute powers. As far as I know, people can't even access those areas where these mana stones are usually found. Mana stones such as these are normally in places where space and time have been warped--that is, in-between the cracks of dimensional space and time. Mr. Cinda was really lucky to have gone there. He was probably in that rare, albeit entirely possible, moment in time at just the right place. Humans can't even see that space-time, even if it's staring straight in the face. I'll make you a device that will enable you to visit that place. Just give me a minute. | |Briefing = I've come across this stone before... though it was quite some time ago. Briefing | Oh no... How did this happen?! I lost the Blacksmith Hammer that I'd inherited from my master! He'd turn in his grave if he ever found out that I'd lost such an important piece of equipment! Please, I beg you... could you help me find that hammer? I was in Grand Flores looking for new ores and found a very peculiar stone. So I ran over and started digging it up out of the ground, but then these... these dead people started coming out of the ground! I was so scared, I just ran for my dear life. I guess I lost my hammer as I sped off. I went back to the spot later, but... I couldn't find the exact place where I was digging up the stone. This stone is all that's left from that escapade. Would you bring this to Mr. Loton? A smart man like Loton should probably know what to do with it. |

Briefing | Do you remember the strange, otherworldly place where Cinda happened to enter? We Alchemists have agreed to call it 'Shadow Thunderland.' Most people believe that the place is connected to the world of the dead somehow. My pride as a scientist compels me to determine if there's some kind of a scientific explanation for this phenomenon, even if I can't discount the supernatural. If you happen to see anything floating in midair in that place, don't forget to let me know. I want to study such things! |

Briefing | According to the results of my research, Zombies aren't just monsters. They were probably previously Human or some sort of humanoid species. I don't have any definite proof as of yet, but that's what my intuition is telling me. We scientists like to explain everything logically and rationally, but I also accept intuition as a form of logic that's just waiting to be proven. That's why I'd like you to collect the memories of the monsters in Shadow Thunderland. For that, I've endowed your Dark Necklace with an additional ability. It's my hope that their memories will reveal some amazing, undiscovered secret. |
Objectives | Obtain 10 Memories of Destruction from the zombies in Shadow Thunderland on Expert's Road (or a higher level). |

Notes | Memories of Destruction only drop from Forest Zombies and Hollow Eyes. |

Briefing | ............ I've come to a conclusion based on my research and a study of all the materials you've brought me. I haven't told this to anyone just yet, but... Do you remember my mentioning that zombies might have originated from Humans or humanoids? Well, it turns out that I was right. I'm afraid the zombies used to be Elves, the very ones that disappeared from Grand Flores during the Great Fire. What's more terrifying is that Shadow Thunderland is expanding day after day. It's only a matter of time before we find that all of Grand Flores has turned into Shadow Thunderland. I'm thinking that defeating the leader of the zombies may actually stop Shadow Thunderland from expanding. Please dispose of the leader as soon as possible, and I'll notify the Principality of Bel Myre about this. |
