You want to know why we've made this decision?

Sure, I'm happy to explain it to you if it helps change your mind.

We don't care anymore that Michael was an Apostle, just like Ozma. What we care about is his sanctum. It's caused devastating damage to civilians, and many have even died.

And as if to prove his corruption, it's swarming with contradictory beings that are neither of Light nor Chaos.

For now, they keep to themselves inside that place, but what if they decide to invade Arad, just like Ozma's Imposter legion did?

You fought them, so you know how dangerous they are. They come from Michael, so why should we trust him? Because he's a saint?

Even if Oberith is right and he's only trying to purge Chaos, the situation at hand proves that he's incapable of achieving that.

Worse still, he can be swallowed by the very thing he wants to get rid of. And if that happens, it'll be the beginning of a much bigger disaster, like the Third Black Crusade.

We still haven't recovered from the second one, and we can't afford another.

In short, we believe he'll fall rather than succeed in what he wants to do. We want to take care of him before that happens.
