Salif (Epic Quests)
The Namuluns are giant ants inhabiting the south of the Great Desert of North Myre. When the Metastasis gifted them with high intelligence, they migrated above the ground and fed on mushrooms as they expanded their territories. Unsatisfied by eating just mushrooms, the Namuluns built what later became Salif the City of Spores and enslaved the Fungras. They named themselves the Namuluns as they rose up the ranks in Meltdown. The Karus, a Fungi tribe friendly to the the Humans, asked Faris to help them free themselves from their slavers., the Namuluns, and Faris dumped that task on you. Queen Namulun Merina's last words to you were, "The Dream Tree showed me the future. We'll prosper. You'll perish. My prosperity may end now, but it's also the beginning of your destruction..."

Quests
Mushrooms Slavers of Giant Ants
Level | 19 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Faris, the Sewer Princess |
Briefing | Faris: "Hey, you! I have a job for you. I've let you stay comfortably in the Sewer, and it's time you repay the favor. You know the mushroom tribe Fungi, don't you? One of the tribes is called Karus, and they're friendly to Humans. Word is that they've been captured by some giant ants to be used as slaves. The captured Karus would grow mushrooms for the ants until they're no longer useful, and then they would be fed to the ants. A Karu escaped from the ants and came to me for help. How presumptuous! But then I thought that maybe it's not a bad idea to have the mushrooms owe me. I could always enslave them to rebuild Hendon Myre, you know. So go to that ant kingdom named Salif and get rid of Namulun Fighters that slave around the mushrooms." |
Objectives | Defeat Namulun Fighters and liberate Slave Fungras in Salif. (Defeat Namulun Fighters, and Slave Fungras are automatically liberated.)
|
Dungeon Dialogue | *Upon entering the dungeon.*
Namulun Fighter: "You slow mushrooms! Speed up! Come on! Plant the red mushroom in here, and yellow ones in there. Got it?" Slave Fungra: "*Gasp* Yes, sir! Alley-oop! Alley-oop!" |
Upon Completion | Faris: "Insects enslaving plants. What a joke!" |

Destroying the Formicary
Level | 19 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Faris, the Sewer Princess |
Briefing | Faris: "Those ants used to live in the great desert area of North Myre. The Great Metastasis gave them intelligence, and they've moved up to the ground to expand their territory. They mainly feed on mushrooms, and since there's nothing but mushrooms on the ground, those giant ants have plenty of food to grow big and strong. In the end, they've named themselves the Namuluns and established a spore kingdom named Salif to farm mushrooms. And a great many Fungras are captured by the ants to farm mushrooms for them. As things stand, the Namuluns will take over the ground before we get the chance to rebuild Hendon Myre. Over my dead body! First, we need to stop them from coming above ground. Hey, why are you still here? Do I really have to tell you what to do? Go destroy the formicary!" |
Objectives | Destroy Formicary in Salif on Medium or a higher level. (Drain the HP of the sand house that Namulun Fighters summon, and the Formicary is destroyed automatically.)
|
Upon Completion | Faris: "Now that the ant hole is plugged, we can get rid of those inside it." |
Rewards |
Too Mush, Too Little
Level | 19 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Faris, the Sewer Princess |
Briefing | Faris: "Those ants spread eumycetes to create mushrooms farms, and ended up planting the eumycetes in themselves, which drives them to madness. Now some mutant Fungras are springing up here and there, causing us more problems. We have to get rid of them to after their queen. Don't complain and go get it done." |
Objectives | Defeat Madness Ants and Infected Fungras in Salif on Medium or a higher level.
|
Upon Completion | Faris: "Finally, we can get rid of those ants." |
Rewards |
Queen Namulun Merina
Level | 19 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Faris, the Sewer Princess |
Briefing | Faris: "I'm not worries about Karus, but I am about North Myre turning into an ant hell. I want to kill the ant queen, but that's going to be tricky. The ants, when their queen dies, hatch eggs of a next queen ant to continue with their legacy. I want you to kill the Queen Namulun and take her eggs as well. Got it?" |
Objectives | Defeat Queen Namulun Merina and collect Queen Ant Egg in Salif on Medium or a higher level.
|
Dungeon Dialogue | *Upon encountering Queen Namulun Merina*
Queen Namulun Merina: "Who dares makes a disturbance in my kingdom? Guards, get them and process them into food!" *Upon defeating Queen Namulun Merina* Queen Namulun Merina: "Ah, my dream of dominating North Myre is ruined... The Dream Tree showed we prosper... Has it come to an end? Namuluns forever!" |
Upon Completion | Faris: "You've brought the ant eggs. Now it's only a matter of time before the ant kingdom vanishes from Hendon Myre. By the way, the ants that used to live in the great desert of North Myre were never so big. Of course, there's always been the giant queen bee named Moth Queen. The abnormal enlargement of monsters could also be an effect of the Great Metastasis. Well, it doesn't matter now. Hey, take this. I asked you to work for me, so it's only right I pay you. Pick a weapon you like. That ring is a bonus." |

Death Is Rather Bliss
Level | 19 |

Quest Giver | Albert Bernstein |
Briefing | Albert: "Hey, bumpkin! Come over here! I've heard Faris is sending you to the ant hell. Is that right? Good, because there's something you can do for a god cause. Those ants, now that they can think of themselves, are planning to enslave mankind. They already abducted a few of us as a test. If this continues, the world might fall into the hands of the ants. Anyways, I want you to take care of them. Oh, you don't have to kill them. Just remove their feelers. Without them, ants have no sense of direction and have to live their rest of their lives disabled. They're alive, but they'll wish they were dead. We have to show them how cruel we can be to keep them in their place." |
Objectives | Defeat Namulun Fighters and collect Torn Feelers while in Salif.
|
Upon Completion | Albert: "Whoa, this looks brutal. At least this should make sure they'll never lay their hands on Humans again. Good Job!" |
