Lore
Black Purgatory Lore:
In the heat of the Inquisition's holy fire
his family turned into ashes and dissipated in the wind.
Having lost the meaning of his life, he left his hometown. He wandered from here to there, leaving a trail of tears behind him.
He wasn't hungry even if he didn't eat for days. He wasn't thirsty, either.
Only when his damaged feet couldn't carry him anymore, he fell. That was when the hooded figure approached him.
Hot, dark blood went down his throat.
The energy of the Fierce Blood brought back his most painful memory, incinerating his body without a trace.
He shed his damaged body and started moving in the shadows, away from everyone.
After a while, a rumor started circulating in the Cult of Darkness
about the Shadow on the Road that even swallowed sunlight and went wherever the ruthless Priests showed up to fling their flames.
His name was Venta.

History
As an Enemy
Venta makes his first appearance in Black Purgatory as the second Sub-boss inside Outskirts of Roschest and is capable of intruding Graveyard of Terror.
Move Set
- Shadow Fist: Venta forms a pair of shadow fists that slam down right infront of him.
- Fettering Cloak: He'll fire out a wave of thorns that are going in a clockwise order circle.
- Shadow Lasher: He'll launch forward a flurry of shadow thorns.
- Darkness Explosion: Venta powers up to unleash a AoE explosion within his range.
- Cloak Release: Venta uses his cloak to fire up numerous needles around him.
- End of the Road: Venta will teleport to the middle section as he spawns four encroached areas across each corner, then he'll dash to each one in a total of three times while leaving a thorn trail behind him. After the third dash is done, he'll target a player and casts Darkness Explosion to finish the pattern.
Strategy
- Similar to Jade, Venta isn't a very difficult boss to fight against when encountering him during the second intersection, but he can perform certain attack patterns much faster that are capable of killing players if they do not watch for those indicators.
- Try staying behind him when he uses moves like Shadow Fist or Shadow Lasher.
- Venta doesn't have a groggy time or a fatal berserk, so it's best to burst him down and save your Awakenings for later boss encounters.
