* It's best to treat this fight like fighting an actual Soul Bender, with your enemy only being much stronger than usual. He is a Slayer that's as heavy as a Priest class because when you launch him, he will fall quickly.

Shadow Knight Sayoung guards the entrance leading to the Slums Gate. He was originally a disciple of Grand Master Siran, but abandoned the path of the katana in order to attain power through magical means. Sayoung swore fealty to the Dark Elves so that they could teach him their dark magics—but instead, they enslaved his soul with devious spells. Sayoung now zealously serves them, and guards their subterranean city of Noire Ferra with undying fervor.

MoveList * Sayoung is a dangerous Soul Bender, wielding a highly reinforced Demon Katana Siran. As such, he will engage the player using a variety of Soul Bender skills designed to cripple, confound and destroy.
Strategy * Because Sayoung is a Soul Bender, immediately rushing him before he can cast his offensive spells can make the fight considerably easier.
  • Sayoung will periodically cast Afterimage of Keiga in order to alleviate damage dealt to him; due to its somewhat long cast time, it can be interrupted.
  • When downed, Sayoung may use Quick Rebound to get back up and quickly counterattack with Triple Slash, Moonlight Slash or Ghost Slash. Be wary while he is crouching.
  • His AI is split into two phases: At the start of the fight, he will begin by spamming Kazan, Bremen, Saya, and Rhasa, and occasionally using a ridiculously powerful Ghost Slash. Avoid the circles whenever possible; Rhasa will inflict deadly debuffs and Saya may freeze players.
    • When his health is dropped down to half, he will stop spamming ghost circles and begin playing more aggressively, using close-ranged attacks and powerful skills like Tombstone or Phantasmal Slayer. Players should keep their distance once he begins casting Ghost Step, due to Phantasmal Slayer's long axis reach.
Notes * Always spawns in the opposite corner of where the player enters, regardless of dungeon layout.
