Briefing | Young Mage, may I have a moment of your time? I've watched you endure all sorts of hardships, and I have to say, I'm impressed. I believe you are the one who could provide the answer for the most difficult question that continues to baffle us Mages. Every Mage--including Humans and the Dark Elves of Arad and Pandemonium--have one question to which there has been no answer. I'm assuming you must already know what it is that I'm thinking but... If you have no idea about what I'm saying, why don't you try talking with others to figure out what that question might be? There are pluses and minuses to all relationships, but they'll inevitably lead you to that one question. |

Briefing | Magic... It is indeed an amazing and incredible sourc of power. When we Immortals attain such amazing powers, we start having mixed feelings, which tend to confuse our minds. 'How could I use this power?' 'How come such great power has been given to me?' Those questions lead to the ultimate question for us Mages: 'What is the purpose of magic?' None of us--Dark Elves, humans, nor the mages of Pandemonium--were able to find the right answer to that question. Young Mage, what answer could you give me? What is your viewpoint on magic? Unless you find the answer, you will not be able to continue your growth. Find a place where you can take the time to think and reflect. I know the perfect place for that matter. Why don't you go to the kingdom of Borodin the Great, the legendary man who strived for a power that was unsurpassed? |

Briefing | There are several theories about the purpose of magic. Perhaps it is for the sake of every living creature, or to make the impossible possible... What is your theory? Is magic for others or for your own good? Is it to save lives, or to destroy them? If you want to establish your own theory, I suggest you look around Vilmark - Area 50, a place that represents the ugly greed of Humans. So, what do you think is the purpose of magic? |

Briefing | Have you figured it out yet? Or am I asking you too soon? Are you going to give up on answering the ultimate quest like the others? Do you need more time? No problem. I suggest you go collect some pieces of Terranite. They are the remnants of a civilization that once was great, but ended up utterly destroyed. Touch them and listen to them. You might have found the answer already. |

Briefing | I must have asked you the question too early; you still seem a bit unprepared to answer it. Countless Mages have challenged this question just to find that they have many more unanswered questions about life and magic. History tells us about many great Mages, but we don't know if they'd ever found an answer for themselves. Young Mage, I thank you for your cooperation. Let's try this later, when you're fully prepared. |

Briefing | What?! What's Astral Harmony? I see. So, this is your answer for the single, most defining question for all Mages? This kind of answer losing its meaning when it's expressed verbally. It must be understood from the heart. A number of Mages have failed to understand this, even after finding the answer. Whenever they try to articulate this idea, their egos and identity conflict and the truth keeps escaping. We Immortals are fated to encounter and conflict with other beings for many reasons. You've found the answer, but the one that works for you may not be the right one for someone else. Hopefully, many Mages like you will continue their efforts to find an answer that contains an irreducible truth that no one can refute. That is, an answer that everyone can agree with. |
