Renee (Korean: 르네 Reune), also known as Court Mage Renee (Korean: 궁정마법사 르네 Gungjeong-Mabeopsa Reune), was a Court Mage of the De Los Empire and the leader of the Imperial Investigation Group sent to investigate the Screaming Cavern during the Screaming Cavern Incident. A talented mage--albeit an incompetent leader--she was accompanied by the short sword prodigy Vaughn Walshuted to vanquish the notorious, powerful monster Sirocco.
During the investigation, she and Vaughn's group got separated due to circumstances unknown, and she eventually ended up with the division sent by the Mist led by Kane. It is said that she perished in the conflict against Sirocco and was converted into a monster by Sirocco's post-mortem energy.[Note 1]

- Renee has an item named after her called the
Seal of Mage Renee, which was later replaced with the item the Seal of Shannon Myre. - As the monster High Spectress Renee, she drops several signature items as an enemy in the Screaming Cavern.
- Renee was one of the characters who debuted in the story series Main Story : The Road which is the prelude to the Screaming Cavern Incident. It was released and then suddenly disappeared during Season 2 in the KR version.

- ↑ The true cause of her death is disputable due to conflicting sources. According to the lore from 2006-2007 while DnF was published by Hangame, she was killed by the Mist member Blood Hand Rayburn. While in the lore post 2008 after being published by Nexon, it is stated she was killed by Sirocco.
