Light Euclid's Cutscene

Description

Light Euclid is one of three Cosmo Fiends who guards the Logistics Base during Fiend War. She controls the power of light and is considered Dark Axion's sister despite being technically unrelated. Moving at lightning speed, she applies those powers to reflect enemy attacks or disintegrate them into energy.

Move Set

  • Light Marbles: Similar to Luke's Caligo Reflection pattern, hitting Euclid will shoot out a light marble that targets players, dealing moderate damage and knockback. Do not use multi-hits as she'll cast a barrage of these and could kill someone in the process. This will still be on during Beads of Light.
  • Sword Sweep: This is Euclid's only attack as she teleports in front of random players, charging up her sword to slash at them. Once she activates Beads of Light, this pattern is mandatory to counterhit her throughout the fight.

  • Aerial Combo: There's a chance that Euclid will teleport at a player and stabs them with her sword, flinging them in the air, rapidly stabbing them upwards before teleporting back on the ground. This pattern can be countered during Beads of Light.
  • Beads of Light: When dealing 10% of Euclid's HP, she'll cast this pattern on herself as the party has 30 seconds to counter hit her five times in total to enter her groggy phase. She cannot be damaged during this and If a player manages to counter Euclid by hitting her just as she attacks with Sword Sweep, Euclid will be knocked back for a moment as the screen turns dark for a few seconds, removing a Light Bead.
    • If all five Light Beads are removed, Euclid will enter her groggy phase and become vulnerable for 12 seconds. If not killed by the end of this time limit, she will cast Beads of Light again.
  • Copy Spawn: If the pattern did not succeed, Euclid teleports to the center and summons three copies of herself per party members, totaling up to twelve and these apply towards her normal counter amount. This gives players a certain amount of chances to counter her copies to remove the remaining Light Beads to make her groggy.

Berserk

  • Sword of Light: She will only activate this if Copy Spawn didn't succeed. Euclid summons myriads of light circles where her light swords will drop. If players are within' the circle when the sword dropped, a light glimpse will be attached to them. At the end of the pattern, Euclid will hit party members and depending on how many light glimpses someone has, 3-4 can possibly kill them.

Strategy

  • Just like Axion, she too shares a counterhit mechanism during her Beads of Light phase. In order to defeat her, you must counterhit Euclid five times - each hit will cause a light bead to vanish from her counter amount.
  • The key to countering Euclid is when she prepares to slash during Sword Sweep. Timing this can be difficult due to how fast she moves and the same could be said for her copies during Copy Spawn.
  • If you're playing a class that delivers multi-hits, don't overuse them during Light Marbles since the barrage of those will most likely kill you or another player.
  • During Copy Spawn, it is recommended for all party members to spread out to give them adequate space to counter the individual clones spawning next to them.
  • If Euclid casts Sword of Light, it can be helpful to use Toy of Sparkling World.png Toy of Sparkling World to remove the slow debuff.
  • Euclid will be groggy for 12 seconds after all five light beads are removed, so wait for the Crusader/Enchantress to deploy Apocalypse (Male Crusader).png Apocalypse/Crux of Victoria.png Crux of Victoria/Marionette (Enchantress).png Marionette and use your strongest skills on her before she casts Beads of Light again.

Trivia

Euclid's name is a anglicized version of the ancient Greek name meaning "renowned or glorious", befitting of the light-themed Cosmo Fiend.
