Dialogue
Briefing
Shinjang |
So, it happened. |
Allen Grant |
Now, there's nothing left in Ozma's way. Except us. |
Grandis Gracia |
May Lemidios bless us. |
Judy Ringwood |
For now, let's move to the castle beyond the broken ward. |
In-Dungeon
(Upon entering the Dungeon)
(Midnight's Darkness stands atop the castle of Elerinon.)
Chaos's Oracle Calling Jade |
Midnight's Darkness? Where have you been? You dared ignore Chaos's summons!? |
(Midnight's Darkness turns his attention to Jade, who is atop a giant Imposter behind him.)
Midnight's Darkness |
Hah hah hah. I had more urgent business to attend to, but I'm here now. |
Chaos's Oracle Calling Jade |
You may have the Pure Blood in you, but I still don't acknowledge you. Or trust you, for that matter. I don't care if He thinks your twisted ambition is part of His chaos. |
Midnight's Darkness |
I didn't come here to listen to your lectures. Let me show you something. |
(Midnight's Darkness places his hand upon the ground and engulfs his body in a black light which transforms his body into his Pureblood form. Black and white lightning bolts fall from the sky, as his body transcends into another form.)
Chaos's Oracle Calling Jade |
You look... No...! |
Chaos coveting Midnight's Darkness |
Having inherited the Pure Blood, I could easily absorb the power of another Pureblood. And thanks to him, now I'm one step closer to enlightenment. |
Chaos's Oracle Calling Jade |
Another Pureblood...? You mean, Despero? Chaos must have seen you commit that atrocity! |
Chaos coveting Midnight's Darkness |
This god you worship probably thinks this is also part of chaos. Only those who are true to their instincts deserve to stand atop chaos. It may be the paradise that Chaos has visualized. |
Chaos's Oracle Calling Jade |
Atop chaos? You...! No... |
Chaos coveting Midnight's Darkness |
Hah hah hah. I've drawn my sword. I might as well cut something with it. |
Chaos's Oracle Calling Jade |
No, I won't let you! How dare you speak such blasphemy? You'll pay for this with your life! |
Chaos coveting Midnight's Darkness |
Hah hah. You think you're invincible because you have that ancient Imposter with you now, don't you? I'll prove you wrong. |
(The giant Imposter roars as Midnight's Darkness slams his hands together. The screen turns black.)
Chaos coveting Midnight's Darkness |
Be grateful that I'm taking my time to teach you. |
Calling Jade |
Grr... You...! |
(Suddenly a winged figure appears by Jade's side.)
Calling Jade |
K...? What are you doing? |
Chaos-eaten K |
You were abandoned and left to your own devices. |
(K lifts his sword and he and Jade disappear in a cloud of smoke.)
Chaos coveting Midnight's Darkness |
I took you under my wing and tried my best to teach you. You haven't learned, have you K? |
(Midnight's Darkness places his hands in a prayer position and disappears.)
(Meanwhile. A group of Imperial soldiers led by Prince Van Frantz approach Elerinon Castle.)
Prince Van Frantz |
This is Elerinon Castle, where Ozma is. |
Imperial Knight |
Shouldn't we wait for Lady Judy and her troops? |
Prince Van Frantz |
We don't have time. Not only did I lose Chest Town to the Imposters, but I also let Hyria and her watchdog, Judy, claim it for me. I must save face, however I can.
I can't trust the Order, either. That son of Hendrix Grant from Lemidia Chrysos. I bet he's here under Hyria's orders. |
Imperial Knight |
But Your Highest [sic], you're not fully recovered— |
Prince Van Frantz |
Silence! If you're too afraid to go on, you can stay here.
If you're brave, you'll follow me. I'll strike Ozma with my sword before anyone else and bring honor to our country! |
(Van Frantz runs toward the castle as the majority of the troops follow.)
(Upon entering the Boss Room)
(A small group of Imperial soldiers wait outside the Elerinon castle gate.)
Completion
Oberith Rosenbach |
Lady Judy, did you send out those Imperial knights before you? |
Judy Ringwood |
No. I could barely manage to amass the troops I have here, let alone a force like that. Besides, I doubt they're under Her Highness Hyria. Anyone else who's powerful enough to command Imperial knights... |
Allen Grant |
His Highness Van Frantz. But he can't have recovered from his injury, just yet. |
Judy Ringwood |
Hey, knight. Where's His Highness? |
Imperial Knight |
That's... He entered the castle already. |
Judy Ringwood |
What? |
Allen Grant |
Oh, no. |
Oberith Rosenbach |
Did he take his troops in there by himself? |
Allen Grant |
I'm afraid so. I wouldn't put it past him. |
Teida Beonarr |
I don't know if he's brave or reckless. |
Allen Grant |
He lost his territory to his sister because of a stupid mistake he made. It's understandable he's so anxious for glory. Right now, he's not that popular in the Empire. Crown Prince or not, he needs his people's support to actually take the throne. |
Grandis Gracia |
Still, he shouldn't have been so reckless. We'd better follow him. |
Lucille Redmayne |
By the way, something's not right. This place is way too quite [sic] for where Ozma has resurrected. |
Adras |
I think he's waiting. |
Judy Ringwood |
Waiting for what? |
Adras |
Us. |
