Tyrant's Altar (Epic Quests)

Tanictar, the king of the Dwarves with an insatiable hunger for gold, told Venus that her Human lover Narcissus was in love with a fairy girl named, Radia. Venus paid Tanictar's favor by sharing the location of her secret location of her secret gold vein. Tanictar mobilized all his people to dig an underground tunnel to get to the vein. Venus cursed the Dwarves, making gold their misery, but Tanictar was undaunted. He found the gold vein and mined all the gold there was. With the gold, he built the underground city Noire Ferra and enjoyed the greatest prosperity that any kingdom had ever known. Fennes King Guntram and the other Dark Elves realized Tanictar's inquisitiveness was the cause of Venus' curse upon them and their loss of holy power. They swore vengeance and raised an army. Guntram led his army into Noire Ferra, beheaded Tanictar, and drove the Dwarves out of the city. The exiled Dwarves, however, hid the existance of the Gold Tunnel and are now digging deeper and deeper...

Gold Monger Dwarves

Briefing	"I've heard many stories of you heroism, so I thought I could trust you. In case you didn't know, bad blood runs deep between us Dark Elves and the Dwarves. It's their greed for gold that called down Venus' curse, forcing us to live underground. A long time ago, Goontram, the greatest king of Fennes, beheaded the Dwarven king Tanictar and drove his people out of Noire Ferra. That didn't stop the Dwarves from digging the ground in search of gold. Venus cursed the Dwarves, making gold their misery, but they're unable to separate themselves from their greed for gold. We've decided to strike at the foolish Dwarves before they can cause us more grief. To do that, we must locate and occupy their Gold Tunnel. It's believed that there's a secret path to the Gold Tunnel hidden somewhere near the altar that is built above Tyrant Tanictar's grave. To get to the Tyrant's Altar, you need to create Goontram's Ring. Bring the following materials to Court Mage Sharan. The Dwarven tunnel is like a maze, and without the ring, you'll get lost before you can reach the altar."

Objective	Clear the Tyrant's Altar. (To summon the Boss monster, destroy the altar in the Boss chamber.)

Path to the Gold Tunnel

Briefing	"The secret path to the Gold Tunnel is hidden somewhere around Tanictar's altar, and the Dwarves created several fake paths to confuse the intruders. We need the map to find the correct path to the Gold Tunnel. Dwarf Miners at the altar must be from the Gold Tunnel, so they should carry the map. Some of them, however, could carry fake maps, so bring me a number of maps, just in case."

Briefing	"Soon we'll be able to enter the Golden Tunnel. The secret path to the place pass coe, and the pass code is hidden somewhere near the Tyrant's Altar. Destroy the altar and look for clues to the pass code. When you destroy the altar, Tanictar's ghost will appear, and I have faith that you can defeat it."

Upon Completion	"This pass code it written in the Dwarven language. Translating it will take some time, but after that, we can get to the Gold Tunnel. I'll call you as soon as I'm done decoding the code. You should take rest in Underfoot in the meantime."
