Lore

Ozma Raid Lore Exerpt:

"Silence."

He whispered and raised the Four Beasts' energy. The voices that rang through his head gradually faded away. Looking pleased, he turned his gaze to the scenery around him.

He was in Armis, the Garden of Mirrors, next to the throne of Chaos, filled with mirrors carved out of crystal. Midnight's Darkness slowed down and stared at his image reflected in a mirror. He'd changed since he absorbed the blood of the Purebloods. Dark shadows loomed behind him.

"I'm not going to be a puppet of Chaos. I'll be the master of the Western Paradise."

Midnight's Darkness spat out the words as he clenched his fists. He gave up his Priesthood and even endured the criticism of the rest of the world for this one purpose. He'd waited so long and gone through so much for this opportunity. He wasn't going to let anyone—or anything—take it away from him.

To fully digest the powers of the Ruin and Despair that he'd absorbed, he had to understand Ozma from inside the god's own mind, which was this place. Of course, if he succumbed to his power during the process, he'd go back to being his puppet...

"I can just get rid of what's unnecessary and put back what I need."

Midnight's Darkness forcefully shook his head as if to forget the negative thoughts. He didn't come all the way here just to give up at the first challenge he faced. By the end of this crusade, which was coming to an end, he planned to have reached a higher state of power.

"I'll sacrifice myself if I have to..."

Reciting his belief, he resumed his exploration into Chaos's mind.

Move Set

  • Triple Combo: Similar to his Black Purgatory version, Banya at close range delivers two punches and ends it with a ground slam. Although it is much slower, he is capable of hitstunning players upon connecting his attack.
  • Black & White Lightning Bolts: These lightning bolts constantly appear to strike down whenever he peforms certain patterns.
  • Laser Emmission: Banya teleports to either the edge of the room's right and left side as he'll create a circle where lightning bolts to strike and he'll fire out an laser in a X or Y-axis motion.
  • Wave Emmission: Nearly indentical to Reverse Gravity, but instead launches out a AoE shockwave.
  • Reverse Gravity: Banya creates a red circle to charge up for an attack, if anyone is within range, he'll lift and knock them down while spawning lightning bolts. Use Quick Rebound.png Quick Rebound immediately to dodge the bolts.
  • Colliding Orbs: Banya summons four yin-yang orbs, two white orbs on and black orbs each onto the ground as they form red lines to home in players of the opposite left and right sides. To clear this pattern, all four party members must collide the opposite orbs with each other before a time gauge depletes.
  • Green Yin-Yang Orb: Around 30s seconds each whenever Banya is peforming his patterns, a small orb drops down on the floor with a green light flashing around it. This should be picked up immediately before 3 seconds goes by, as this not only is a cruical part to activating his Berserk, but explodes to create a lightning strike if nobody grabbed it.
  • Berserk
    • Mirror of Illusions: After picking up at least two Green Yin-Yang Orbs, Banya teleports to the middle section as he creates a black and white mirror on both sides. Each time he sends out a white shockwave below, it'll spawn black and white orbs that appears on the ground. In order to successfully clear this pattern, players who have picked up a Green Yin-Yang Orb prior to the Berserk can grab one orb and place it in the opposite mirror color (Black Orb -> White Mirror) that causes it to shrink and if done correctly on both sides, it'll end. The pattern can fail aburptly If three orbs are left together unmanaged.

Strategy

  • Chaos-coveting Banya no longer relies on his Four Beasts from previous boss fights and instead seems to use a lot of Black & White Lightning Bolts throughout certain patterns that deals heavy damage and hitstun.
  • For Colliding Orbs:
    • When the four orbs drop down, two of each party member should coordinate by going to either the left or right side of the room in order to guide their respective orbs to collide with the opposite site color.
    • Touching the orbs can deal low damage and is capable of ignoring classes who have invincibility frames in their skills alongside knockback.
    • It is a bit easier to handle on Guide/Squad Mode since it's only two orbs. Classes such as Dragon Knight can easily take advantage of the pattern by using Dragon Wing.png Dragon Wing.
  • For Mirror of Illusions:
    • During the beginning of his fight in Armis, Banya starts off with a 50% Damage Reduction from all incoming attacks. When the Berserk itself begins, this is raised to 125% where he'll take double damage instead that'll give party members an opportunity to burst him down depending on the Raid's Chaos Level and party's strength by letting the Crusader/Enchantress deploy their respective Neo: Awakenings Final Judgment.png Final Judgment, Laus di Angelus.png Laus di Angelus & Curtain Call.png Curtain Call either before or during the pattern's duration time.
