The Seven Meisters, known formally as the Seven Great Machinists of Empyrean, were seven of the most brilliant minds of Empyrean during the Empyrean Dark Age and the predecessors of the Seven Shards. These individuals united under the Bakal Resistance: Eternal Flame to construct weapons to oust the former Pandemonian Apostle, Dragon Tyrant Bakal, from their lands. Their most famous weapon, the 'Gaebolg' Project, was said to be powerful enough to defeat the Apostles. However in a surprise attack from Bakal, their weapon had been sabotaged by a traitor before its completion, resulting in their deaths and the weapon's destruction. Eventually, the weapon's remains and blueprints were sealed away in another dimension by one of its surviving members for future generations to inherit their will and finish the fight they started.
