Beastmaster Marcelo, or Bored Marcelo, is a member of the Grim Seeker and a former warrior of the Suju Kingdom from long ago. As a Hardliner, he is faithful to Soldoros. He initially appears as an opponent Bored Marcelo within Tower of Despair's Floor 98, assisting the Adventurers in becoming Azalea Lott's prophesized 'Refined Blade'.

After the Tower departs from Arad, Marcelo and a few others depart with Soldoros and volunteer to stay behind as roadblocks within the Abysmal Sky Tower to buy Soldoros and Yang-Ull time for the Adventurers to unlock their true potential. He voluntarily, with Sure Shot 6 Raina and Hwarang Bihwarang, absorb some of Sirocco's energy to fight the Adventurers.

Marcelo is a Level 80 Exorcist-Monk APC unarmed. He fights close-combat with moves such as  Machine Gun Jab and periodically summons a pet beast  God of Knowledge: Black Tortoise as a minion. His range attack is the  Red Phoenix Amulet. Defeating him rewards the Title: King of Beasts.

Marcelo makes a return as a boss for the Day of Return dungeon inside of Sirocco Raid during Phase 1's Area 2: Gateway of Intelligence.

He mainly fights like a Justice with Draconid abilities, and can also interfere with Red & Orange parties by dropping explosions in Dawn of Dreams & summoning mobs in Border of Phantasm respectively as penalties if his subdungeon is not cleared.

Move Set

•  God of Knowledge: Black Tortoise: Marcelo is able to summon either one or two Black Tortoises to randomly immobilize a player, allowing him to easily attack his target. Despite their changed appearance due to absorbing Sirocco's energy, they still function the same and can be destroyed.

•  Twister of Judgement: Using a former Monk skill, He'll launch out a series of numerous red tornadoes across the map, with red-line zones indicating where those tornadoes are moving in to target party members.

• Shock Punch: Marcelo punches forward to create a red energy shockwave.

• Black Tortoise Power!: Identical to Wordsworth's Pandemonium War Challenge Mode version of his Triple Charge berserk, Marcelo dashes twice on the map's X-axis, and then he'll create an explosion on a marked location.

Strategy

• Compared to Raina, Marcelo is perhaps one of the least difficult Phase 1 bosses due to his low HP and telegraphed attacks that can be easily avoided.
• Marcelo's actions become simpler than his Tower of Despair appearance, making him an easy punching bag for combos and stuns.
• Clearing Day of Return will nullify its penalties and provides a 20% damage increase against Hanielle.
• Since he lacks a berserk or groggy state, Green Parties can quickly burst him down upon entry so have the Crusader/Enchantress to deploy their  Apocalypse /  Final Judgment,  Crux of Victoria /  Laus di Angelus,  Marionette /  Curtain Call and use your strongest skills.

Trivia

• For some reason, his name in the Korean, Chinese and Japanese versions, "Beast King Unjo", was changed in the Global version.
  • Unjo is Turkish for One who is a leader while Marcelo either spelt with one or two Ls is a Spanish form of Marcellus which in turn comes from the Roman God of War, Mars.
• He has a unique Tower of Despair avatar only for the China version on National Day 2010, not released in Korea.
• As an unorthodox rare hybrid APC, he does not fight with weapon-dependent skills.
• He appears alongside various Grim Seeker Hardliners in the CDnF Comic 地下城与勇士：暗殿异闻录 (Dungeon & Fighter : The Strange Recorded Tales of the Dark Temple).
