Robato's Request
Level | 63 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Robato |
Briefing | Robato: "Adventurer, long time, no see. Your Majesty wanted to see you, but you've been gone for a long time. Why did she want to see you? It's over now, but... Could you come with me? Maybe it's not too late." |
Objectives | Meet Empress Skardi in Hendon Myre City Hall. |
Upon Completion | Empress Skardi: "Adventurer. You must have been on quite a journey. I haven't seen you for a long time."
Robato: "Your Majesty, I'm sorry, but could you reconsider my appeal before?" Empress Skardi: "Oh, that. Well, since it's you..." <Player>: "...?" |

Objectives | talk to Vaughn in West Coast. |
Upon Completion | Vaughn Walshuted: "Err? Adventurer, long time, no see. Where have you been? Huh? Empyrean? Ah, you came back because of the news, didn't you? I knew you'd be interested. All right, you can come with us."
Hartz: "...Master, this is too important a mission to let an outsider in on it." If player isn't a gunner
Hartz: "You're giving me a headache. Do as you please, but I'm including this in our report." Vaughn Walshuted: "Don't be so difficult. He's been helpful since we met in the Sky Tower. We're bringing adventurers with us, anyway, to make up for our lack of manpower. The more, the better." Hartz: "So I said, do as you please. But you're taking responsibility for this." Vaughn Walshuted: "...You're scaring me. Anyway, Adventurer, now we're in on this together. Let's get this over with, shall we? All right, let's do it. Follow me." |

Death Dragon's Horns
Level | 63 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Marlene Kitzka |
Briefing | Player is an Agent
Player is a gunner
<Player>: "..." Vaughn Walshuted: "What am I talking about? Remember that I told you about Bakal's pentacle in the sky and how it was interfering with us reaching Empyrean? It won't stop anyone coming down from Empyrean, but it creates a lot of resistance for those who want to go up. And the Magatha can't fly through that resistance. I tested it out while you were away. The pentacle can only be removed by Bakal himself, or a lot of time will have to pass for it to naturally deteriorate. Since Bakal is dead and we can't wait, we have to find another way. We thought maybe we could use his power left in his creations. We want to use the horns of Skasa and Spirazzi to break through that pentacle. But the dark elves, who sealed away Spirazzi, wouldn't give up its horns. The Empress of the Principality asked them, but even a request from an ally won't change their minds. But maybe yours can. The dark elves are stubborn, but it'll be hard for them to deny the request if it comes from the very hero who saved their kingdom." Marlene Kitzka: "Please. Empyrean is in dire need of help. We have to go up there and put an end to the war as soon as possible." Vaughn Walshuted: "Yes, please. I have to get this done, or the Emperor won't be happy with me. Take pity on me, will you? I'll ask Bwanga for Skasa's horns myself. Then, good luck." |
Objectives | Meet Queen Maya in Underfoot Plaza. |
Upon Completion | Queen Maya: "I know why you came. You want Spirazzi's horns. Death Dragon Spirazzi's horns are too meaningful for us dark elves to hand over to your associates from the Empire. But you've made a great contribution to my kingdom. I'm willing to give you a small horn. You look confused. You think I'm giving it up too easily, don't you? Actually, we've been waiting for you."
Elder Saffron: "We don't care if the humans go to Empyrean or not, but we don't lie owing anyone. This makes us even." Queen Maya: "You're still a hero of my kingdom and honorary citizen, or course, but this is a national matter. By giving you this national treasure, my kingdom is returning your favor. If you agree to this, you may take the horn. Good. You may now leave and resume your adventure. Next time, I'd like to see you as my friend, instead of an associate of the Empire." |

Good to Go
Level | 63 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Vaughn Walshuted |
Briefing | Vaughn Walshuted: "Whoa, how did you get back so quickly? Those haughty dark elf elders and queen have a soft spot for you, don't they? Huh? You think this is why I wanted you to go up to Empyrean with me? Well, I thought it'd be great if you could come with me, but I couldn't find you. I was glad when you came and offered your help first. I got everything else ready while you were gone. Let's go meet with the Empyrean lady. Finally, we're going to Empyrean. [I'm] getting butterflies in my stomach." |
Objectives | Deliver Death Dragon's Horns to Marlene Kitzka. |
Upon Completion | Marlene Kitzka: "You're back. How did it go? Ah, this is a horn of the dragon created by Bakal. Can we go up to Empyrean now?"
Vaughn Walshuted: "The prophet, iris, said we could, but we wouldn't know until we try. I hope we can this time." Marlene Kitzka: "Thank you. Thank you so much." |

Quest Giver | Marlene Kitzka |
Briefing | Marlene Kitzka: "Is everyone ready? Then please get on the Magatha. Let's head out to Empyrean." |
Objectives | Go to Empyrean and talk to Marlene Kitzka. |
Upon Completion | Marlene Kitzka: "We've arrived safely. Welcome to Empyrean. Good job coming this far."
Vaughn Walshuted: "I was worried something might happen during our journey. Thank the gods, we were able to remove Bakal's pentacle. By the way, I can't help but notice a commotion..." Marlene Kitzka: "It's been a while since I left Ghent, but this craziness still seems to be going on. Let me go check." If Player is an Agent: |

Empyrean's Chief Guard
Level | 63 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Zeldine |
Briefing | Zeldine: "Halt! Who are you? How did you enter Ghent?"
Vaughn Walshuted: "Empyrean soldiers?" If player is an Agent
Zeldine: "Lady Marlene? Is that you, Lady Marlene? You left for Underworld and didn't come back for so long that I thought you were dead." Marlene Kitzka: "Heaven helped me to safely find my way to Underworld. Now I'm back with help." Zeldine: "So Underworld really exists, doesn't it? Are these...? Are they soldiers from down there? Oh, gods." Vaughn Walshuted: "I'm Vaughn Walshuted, knight of the De Los Empire. I came here to help your country under the command of my emperor. Not all of us are soldiers. There are some adventurers among us as well. Empyrean and Arad haven't interfaced for a long time, but we came as soon as we could to help you in this difficult time." Zeldine: "Oh, I'm sorry that I misunderstood you. I don't know what to say. But first, please come this way." |
Objectives | Meet Ghent Garrison Commander Zeldine. |
Upon Completion | Zeldine: "Thank you for coming. Ghent needs all the help it can get. I'm Zeldine Schneider, commander of the Ghent Garrison. I'm sure you were excited to see the new world, but as you can see, Empyrean is under attack by the Kartels. I apologize that we can't be a good host at this moment."
Marlene Kitzka: "I learned how to drive the Magatha and brought you here because this capital city of Empyrean is facing one of the greatest challenges it's ever had. The Kartel, a gang of criminals based in the western Lawless District, is waging war against all of Empyrean. More people are getting robbed and murdered every day. Worse still, the ruler of Empyrean, Princess Erje has been taken hostage by them. Soon, the history of Empyrean may come to an end." Vaughn Walshuted: "Don't worry. We're not the only soldiers from the Empire. Now that the route to Empyrean is secured, our country will send more soldiers to help you. Also, you can rely on the adventurers of Arad--especially this one." If player is an Agent

Quest Giver | Zeldine |
Dungeon | Ghent Outskirts |
Briefing | Zeldine: "Then without preamble, I'll tell you what we need. The heinous Kartls are closing in on us, but we can barely fight back because we've lost access to electricity a long time ago. To make matters worse, more people are defecting on a daily basis, making it impossible to assess the size of the enemy. Please go outside Ghent and gauge the size of the enemy's army there."
Vaughn Walshuted: "If this is just to assess the enemy's size, then we count on the adventurers to do this. Not all of my army is here yet, and until it is, I think it's best we save our forces. In the meantime, I'll go out with the adventurers to check the situation myself." Zeldine: "You have a point. Then I'll be counting on you." |

Quest Giver | Varracht |
Dungeon | East Ghent Gate |
Briefing | Varracht: "Can't you tell? This guy was going around, setting places on fire, so we taught him a lesson. Here, he's the Arsonist."
Zeldine: "Is this Arsonist Bentinck? Adventurer, did you apprehend him with Varracht? You did. Varracht, this, no matter how impressive it is, doesn't change the fact that you disobeyed my orders." Varracht: "Screw you. I'm not your foot soldier. I'm free to do whatever I want. I can't get out of here anytime, no matter how many spies you have to follow me. People were losing homes while you, the commander of the city guard, were caught up in mind games with the Kartels, so I took matters into my own hands. How dare you yell at me? So I disobeyed your orders? You're new in your position and yet you already like the power that comes with it. If you know how serious this situation is, then stop worrying about nobodies like me and do your job. And learn some humility while you're at it." Zeldine: "Hmpf, I thank you for your cooperation, but I'm still the commander here. If you want to stay in Ghent, then you'd better follow my orders." Varracht: "Does this mean you're going to do your job? Fine. I'll have to see it to believe it, though." Zeldine: "Watch your mouth, old man! ...Oh, Adventurer. I'm sorry. I'll throw Bentinck in prison right away. Thank you. Do you mean that infuriating geezer? He's called Sandstorm Varracht, a famous gunslinger from the Lawless District in the west. He sneaked into Ghent some time ago. My distrust of him isn't because he's from the Lawless District. It's because he's one of the early members of [the] Kartel. He said he left it because it changed. I don't think he's changed since he left it, though. Adventurer, please be careful with him. I'm only letting him stay because I can't find a reason to kick him out, but I know, once we start losing, he'll give the Kartels our heads on a platter. Well, it's true we're losing at this moment, but still be careful. There's someone I'd like to introduce you to. Please come with me." |
Objectives | go to Melvin Richter with Zeldine.
|
Upon Completion | Upon talking to Richter: Melvin Richter: "*Yawn* Hey, don't stand there. You're blocking the sun. I was enjoying a nap for the first time in a long while." Zeldine: "You're always napping. Anyway, Doctor, this is the adventurer who arrived with the Imperial Army. You said you needed someone strong enough to do things alone, right?" Melvin Richter: "Did I? I think I said I needed someone smart enough to go in and out of enemy territory by himself. Anyway, you're saying this adventurer is good, right? Then let's get started. Zeldine asked me to decipher some code, and from that code I've found our the Kartels are plotting something interesting. They're trying to bombard this place." Zeldine: "What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Melvin Richter: "I'm telling you now. Anyway, they're going to do it the really old-fashioned way. They'll have some signalmen send the target coordinates and bombard the location. So stupid. I think it's about time they show up. Some of the enemies that arrive at the east gate are the signalmen. You'd better get rid of them if you don't want to get blown up." Zeldine: "Melvin, you need to tell us something important like this as soon as possible! We need preparation--" Melvin Richter: "What did you expect? You had me work on a lot of things, and then dumped that code on me on top of that." Zeldine: "Aww, but we don't have enough manpower--bah, I don't have time for this. Adventurer, let's go." Upon talking to Zeldine: |

The Empire of the Underworld seems to be a state of incredible warriors. I'm especially impressed by that man named Vaughn Walshuted. He wiped the floor--what's that? I mean that gigantic weapon of the enemy. Oh, I'd better retreat my men! Adventurer, I'm sorry, but could you go bring Melvin? I need his help to destroy that thing." |
Objectives | Talk to Melvin Richter

Upon Completion | Upon talking to Melvin: Melvin Richter: "What? The Kartels are using strange-looking things to attack us? What do they look like? Hmmm... Your description seems to match one of my toys that I made a long time ago. I felt too lazy to walk around, so I made this vehicle for myself, but now the Kartels are using them. Gizel must have seen my doodling. If he used my schematics without modification, those machines are made of @#*@%$@#^ that is thermal-treated with #*%@#$& technology... You don't understand, do you? Let's just say they're tanks. I think I named them GT-9600, but you should go to Zeldine--ah wait. Do you really have to take me with you? But I don't want to go..." Upon talking to Zeldine: Melvin Richter: "I know. I was going to tell him what to do, but he dragged me here with him. Why cant you just take a look at this and figure out how to do it? Argh! Briefing | Vaughn Walshuted: "When I heard he was the regent, I imagined a stuck-up noble like those in my country. But in actuality, he seems to be someone I can relate to. Don't you agree? He's also friendly toward my country. To tell you the truth, while traveling Arad under His Majesty's command, I've experienced all kinds of mistreatment, simply because I'm from the Empire. I don't understand why everyone hates us so much. Well, it's true that His Majesty has done some scandalous things, but personally, I like peace. And it's not like I can change where I was born. I'm just saying that I want you to be more understanding of my situation. Mm? I started smelling food. Whoa, she really must be a fast cook! Adventurer, let's go. Aren't you hungry?" |
Objectives | Ask Marlene Kitzka about the food.

Both the colors and smell are wonderful--..." <Player>: "...?" Marlene Kitzka: "How do you like it? Does it taste close to your apple pie? *Sigh* I hope I could make something else for you..." Vaughn Walshuted: "...Amazing. I've never tasted anything like this when I was in Arad. I don't think I'll ever forget it." Marlene Kitzka: "Ho ho ho, thank your compliment. Oh, Adventurer, why don't you have a slice?" Vaughn Walshuted: "Oh, no. Unfortunately, he's having a tummy ache. [Maybe] next time." <Player>: "...?" Marlene Kitzka: "Oh, I see. Then maybe I should cook some meat to help you digest--" Vaughn Walshuted: "Actually, I was taking him to the infirmary. Excuse us!" <Player>: "...?" Upon talking to Vaughn: <Player>: "..." Vaughn Walshuted: "...Anyway, the Empyrean noble is here to see us. We should--retch!--I don't know if I should take some antacids or an antidote... Adventurer, I-I think I'm going to be late. Briefing | Zeldine: "Adventurer, thank you so much for your help with this defense operation. Because you informed us that the enemy was hiding in the gorge, we avoided danger and turned the tables on them. I'd also like to thank you, Sir Walshuted. The Kartels were better prepared than we thought. If it weren't for your men, we would've been in big trouble."
Vaughn Walshuted: "You should thank Deputy Master Kruger, not me. By the way, what are you going to do now? We took out the enemy commander, but the war still isn't over." Zeldine: "During this operation, we've discovered another enemy base, in the depths of the gorge. If we wipe it out, the scales will be tipped in our favor." Vaughn Walshuted: "Then like we just did, we should let a small group of elite warriors confuse the enemy first, and then rest of us will swoop in." Zeldine: "Do you think the same strategy will work twice in a row?" Vaughn Walshuted: "It's the only way to reach the back of the gorge, where the enemy's hiding, with minimal damage. Look at the way this place is shaped. Sending our army in there is suicidal. The enemies in there must have not heard what happened to the others, or they would've sent out reinforcements. The gorge is a good place to hide, but a bad place to keep tabs on the outside world." Zeldine: "Hm... I'll trust your judgment on this, Sir Walshuted. We have to finish this quickly. Isn't there anyone here who's familiar with the Kartel's situation?" Zeldine: "...Mm... There's one person, but I don't know if that geezer would talk... I don't know much about Anton, but I've heard he looks grotesque. His lackeys do, too. If the Kartels are in league with Anton's lackeys...Commander Eagle Eye... Yes. To tell you the truth, we haven't heard from him for a long time. The Kartels destroyed most of our communications network, and it'll take a long time before it's fully restored. Adventurer, please go to Melvin and tell him about the monster you saw. Maybe he knows something about it." |
Objectives | Tell Melvin Richter about the monsters.
|
Upon Completion | upon talking to Melvin: Melvin Richter: "I asked for usable parts, and ll I've got is beat-up junk. What is it now? A monster? You're probably exaggerating. *Yawn* What did you see? Explain it to me. ... Hey, are you serious? You saw it with your own eyes, huh? That isn't just a monster. That's an artificial creature, half-man, half-animal. There's only one person who's capable of such a thing: Gizel. I told you about him before. He was one of us Seven Shards. He picked a fight with me every chance he got and then defected to the Kartel. He's the creator of all the cyborg soldiers and weapons used by the Kartels. I thought he was just trying to make up for his nonexistent intelligence, but now he's even trying to play God. Hey, what you saw can't be his only test subject. There have to [be] more that are more horrendous than this thing you saw. Since they can't move without electricity, they have to be near the Power Plants. If you see them, get rid of them. They shouldn't even have been born." upon clearing the dungeon: |
