What we love is not just this forest. The whole nature surrounding the entire continent of Arad is something that we all should love and protect.
In Grand Flores, the shining forest, a mysterious race called ‘Fairies’ lived. Blessed with long lifespans and absolute beauty, they disliked violence and chose to live in seclusion from the world beyond the forest. Yet, when the peace of the forest is threatened they would valiantly protect the forest with their Bows and Magic, dissipating the conflict and bringing peace back to their beautiful homeland. It seemed that their peaceful life would last for eternity.
One day, The Empire invaded Grand Flores with overwhelming forces. It was an attack nobody could have foreseen. The Fairies who lived unaware of the humans couldn’t stand against such a sudden assault. In a hurry, the Fairies went out to defend themselves but they couldn’t outmatch the empire which used all sorts of trickery to achieve their goal. The beautiful, lush greenery of the Grand Flores was engulfed by flames that day.
Eventually, the foolish ambition of the Emperor brought about internal conflicts which eventually led to an uprising. Some of the Templars from the Empire, those who were against the groundless violence, stood against him in the name of peace; the virtue that they safeguarded was stronger than ties of allegiance, and their sense of justice surfaced. Led by Crowell, the leader of the Templars, the dissenters formed an alliance with the Fairies and planned a counter-attack. The resulting war lasted longer than 30 years, the entire event becoming ingrained in the history of both peoples.
After much blood had soaked the battlefields, the war ended with the Fairies and their Templar allies victorious. Soon after the Emperor was executed, crowds rejoiced as the new Emperor, Emperor Crowell, was coronated. During the ceremony, the Fairies watched nearby as special guests. It was the beginning of a new era. The new Emperor promised many compensations and rewards for the Fairies. They were offered a lot which the Emperor believed they deserved, but the Fairies refused everything, quietly returning to their peaceful forest. They believed that lands other than the forests of Grand Flores were not their home and that things from outside the forests are things that they could not have. Even after this severe war, they were still Fairies.
However, it didn’t mean the Fairies did not change at all while communicating with Humans; some Fairies learned the use of the sword and shield. Fairies who wield both the power of nature and the power of Humans appeared. They are the knights of the Fairies: Elven Knights. In the war, they were the flowers of the battlefield. After the war, they volunteered to be the messengers of peace. Thus, they plead for peace and arbitrate conflicts as they travel through Arad. Thanks to their effort, Fairies, Humans, and Dark Elves have gotten past old misunderstandings and deep-rooted hatred. One day, leaders of each race gathered in the Grand Flores meeting place to sign a treaty for everyone’s coexistence and harmony. It was the true beginning of peace for all Arad.
The Elven Knight is a heavy hitter infused with the power of nature. She provides defensive support to herself and allies (though not nearly at the level as the Lightbringer) while also delivering strong amounts of damage to her enemies.
- At level 50, the Elven Knight awakens as a Peacemaker then at level 75, the Peacemaker awakens as a Gaia.
- Her subclass cosmetic effect is elven ears and a small white flower pin in her hair.
- Her 2nd Awakening cosmetic effect is nature's energy enveloping her, then moving towards her raised shield.

Awakening as a Peacemaker
They say the life of a Fairy is like starlight, that it does not show in daylight when the Sun brightly shines upon everything and hides in many stars even when the night is covered by darkness. It’s the reason why the Fairies are satisfied in Grand Flores despite their ancient knowledge and magic; that’s their nature. It’s not like the xenophobic aspect of the Dark Elves. They recognize their duty is to protect the forest and follow their duty. For a human, who tries to cover the entire world with their own mark, this is a way of life that’s hard to understand. They are the ones who take care of trees unaffected by another race's madness. They are the ones who believe value in existence is protecting the forests. They are the fairies.
"But as the mountain becomes wilderness, and the river runs over it, we started to misunderstand something. The idea of only protecting Grand Flores is that misunderstanding."
It looked as though countless scars covered the girl's body. She stood in the center, the representative of all Elven Knights, and told of her many experiences on countless battlefields. However, the scars could not harm her dignity nor her grace as she led those gathered into the right way, into the light. In fact, the effect of the scars was entirely the opposite. Among the rest, her presence shown brightest, a blazing torch amidst the darkness. Her voice, clear as dawn’s fresh dew, strongly resonated over the meeting place of Grand Flores.
“What we love is not just this forest. All of Arad's nature is something that we should love and protect. We can’t ignore trees and flowers in the rest of Arad who just barely survived the flames of war. We must go out of Grand Flores.”
All the Fairies were perplexed. They only thought of coming back to Grand Flores to protect their forests after the war was over. They had lost so many things, but they knew the sands of time would eventually cover the scar of war. Many questions were asked and much anxiousness was shown, but the girl just shook her head.
“Not in order to fight with the other races; in order to protect Arad we must plant the seeds of peace. Arad birthed and raised the Fairies, so the Fairies have a duty to protect Arad in return, no? If we become stuck in our forests again, we will betray Arad.”
Finally, the fairies agreed. They realized that it was time for them to get out of the giant cradle called Grand Flores. After the assembly dismissed, they chose a good day and called the girl again to the meeting place. They called her as the "true leader who will lead them all." Later, the story of her activities to spread peace throughout war-stricken and destabilized Arad spread. Today, it is a well known story for all Aradians.
However, this beautiful story does not have any clear protagonist. Why you ask? Because the name of the girl remains hidden by her own will. However, we cannot just have the best Elven Knight, the beloved girl of nature, trapped in the tasteless print of ‘one fairy girl.’ Thus, I suggest we call her ‘Peacemaker.’ For her achievements are her name, even she – who might still be out there somewhere – would not deny this little nickname from a descendant.
– Quoted from ‘A Girl Who Illuminated Arad’ by Lucian Panatu.
The Elven Knight must first reach level 50.
Becoming a Gaia
Oh dear noble spirits, the children of Grand Flores...
Oh my dear fairies, the pride and glory of Arad...
Greens are grown under the tree where we shared laughter together.
Petals are piled on the hills where we saw the stars together.
How many more winters must pass until the void from your absence is filled?
Our shoulders shall shiver from the chill,
as we watch you leave without a will.
Yet, we march to a long journey.
Marching even when our tears have not yet dried
for our heartfelt sorrow to the precious souls of protectors.
The forest raised us but what raised the forest is Arad.
You have left the forest, but made your mark in the world.
Let us protect Arad till the very end.
This is where my long fairy childhood ends.
To protect Arad in mother Gaia’s name.
