Titles

Titles are obtained in the game by several means such as through quests and participating in events (for example, the Trailblazer title could be gained from participating in Closed Beta). They are considered equipment items in the game and takes up the bottom right-most slot of the equipment portion of your inventory. Each title adds some sort of a bonus to the player's stats and may have additional effects as well, such as summoning a monster when hit.

They are untradable (with some exceptions) and can have varying qualities. For example, one person with the title of Beast Slayer equipped may gain 4 strength while someone else with the same title of a higher quality may gain 6 strength. What titles add to are predetermined, but the amount added is randomized with its numerical value within a certain range of numbers.

Tower of the Dead

These titles are formally obtained at the end of a very long questline in the Tower of the Dead. You can only get one or the other. Introduced in the Act XI patch, but altered in Season 2 Act I patch. Now obtained by Sharan's Feat quest.
