“ | Where I lived was so cold, even the Apostles kept clear of it. That is probably why I was familiar with ice since I was young. I wonder if I was also destined to become the greatest of Glacial Masters. | ” |
There's a land that has been left frozen in a corner of Pandemonium where light cannot reach, all its energy having been sucked dry by monsters. Life exists, even in a place like this.
Some Pandemonians come to this land of permafrost, where no other natural elements except water thrive, to master their water magic to extreme degrees.
They call themselves the Glacial Masters, and demonstrate superior ability at handling ice magic compared to other mages, as their name suggests.
But that is not what sets the Glacial Masters apart from the others; it is their ability to shape ice into whatever weapon that they want and physically wield it against enemies.
They also use the Abyss to make up for their greatest strength and weakness at the same time; their command of but a single element.
The Abyss makes their ice weapons more durable than any real weapons and even invulnerable to fire.[1]
The Glacial Master is a Male Mage who has mastered the powers of Water and Ice. He can summon weapons made of Ice and unleash powerful Water/Ice-based spells.
- At level 50, the Glacial Master awakens as the Hell Freezer then at level 75, Hell Freezer awakens as an Eternal.
- His subclass cosmetic effect is a foggy breath.
- His 2nd Awakening cosmetic effect is forming an ice crystal with his hand above his head before shattering it.

Awakening as a Hell Freezer
Flowers Bloom in the Abyss.
Because of the nature of the Abyss, eventually its shapeless form will coalesce into something real.
Of course, this is not something that naturally happens. There is nothing natural about anything they do.
Once the Abyss is solidified, the land that they walk upon, the air that they breathe in,
even the blood that runs through their body will crystallize. They will neither be alive nor dead.
They will exist only for the purpose of magic...
Imagine the grief of mages who gave up part of their physical being just to survive.
A cold heart is all that is left after their change so drastically.
They become more and more detached from others.
They can hardly be considered human, really.
So far from being alive, the mages are closer to being spirits.
In the heart of the mages who have given up everything for magic,
only the Abyss is real, suspended as though an icy flower in a dark place.
These are the Hell Freezers.
The Glacial Master must first reach level 50.

Awakening as an Eternal
“ | Cease | ” |
My frozen heart shattered into pieces,
so it wouldn't hurt the girl who picked up the shards.
She said they were not cold,
but her small, dainty hands shone blue.
The flower of the Abyss had frozen the entire world,
painting it in one color everywhere.
Only the girl smiled at me,
filling me with warm, pretty colors.
I have finally remembered that
the blood that runs in my body is red.
My frozen vessels have thawed,
but she wouldn't wake up.
Her cold heart has melted
into streams of water, languorous her like hair.
The departed can never come back,
but I will forever remember the girl who woke me up.
Our time together was short,
but the warmth of her hands last.
I will protect this eternity that you have given me,
She who shall rest in peace in the memory of the ice.[2][3]

Awakening as a Neo: Glacial Master
"What? Come here! I'll give you a good smack!"
"Ouch! What was that for?!"
"Implant the Abyss in you? Remember what I told you, kid?"
"Wh-what? You could've just told me instead of hitting me if you had something to say!"
"Power always has a price. If power comes too easily, you'll be paying too much for it later."
"Price? Hmph. Whatever it is, it's a win as long as I have power, isn't it?"
"If you obtain power through dishonest means without any hard work, you'd just be dooming yourself."
"Living like this must be worse..."
"...Kid?"
"...Yeah. I've already paid a price. I lost... something important."
"Mark my words and keep punching. That's the only way for you to get stronger."
"But what if I got it, even if I didn't want to? What if there's no choice but to use that power?"
"I don't ever want that to happen to you, but if you obtain the Abyss for whatever reason, you'll surely get limitless power along with it."
"This power is not infinite. I know that because... I have lost."
"However, you must not rely on the power that the Abyss gives you. Don't get drunk off that infinite power from the Abyss. You must be..."
"...The master of that infinite power who can control it. Yes, that's what she said."
"You remembered! The power of the Abyss holds infinite possibilities. If you reach a limit, then it's one you created yourself."
"A limit that I created..."
"Never forget who's the master of that power."
"I get it. By the way... I wanted to tell you something."
"Kid."
"..."
"I'm okay."
"...I'm sorry."
"So don't feel sorry."
"Thank you..."
"...Moa."[4]

Trivia
Subclass Inspiration
- The Glacial Master's theme is based around Cryokinesis, that involves the power to manipulate ice, though his motif is similar to certain characters such as Bleach's Tōshirō Hitsugaya, and Fairy Tail's Gray Fullbuster,
- He also seems to resemble Keith Evans, a character from Taito's 1996 fighting game Psychic Force that shares ice-related abilities.
Titles
- The overseas First Awakening title Frozen Heart was swapped with Hell Freezer in both Nexon & Global versions to avoid confusion with a similarly named Storm Pass dungeon. It's likely that his Global title is a pun on the When Hell Freezes Over phrase.
- Eternal can refer to being lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.
Skills
- Shard Magnum - Based on one of Louis's skill from Cyphers (A Neople-related game), though it actually resembles an attack called Sunshine Magnum in the Manga/Anime Kinnikuman.
- The First Awakening Ice Chain, Could likely be named after Hitsugaya's Zanpakutō, Hyōrinmaru that means (氷輪丸 Ice Ring) since it's Korean name for the skill is also called Ice Flow Ring.
- The Second Awakening Judecca the Eternal Is derived from Judas Iscariot where in Dante's Divine Comedy, it was the fourth section at the Cocytus's ninth and lowest circle of the Underworld.
- The Neo: Awakening Eternity: Nastrond comes from Náströnd (Corspe Shore), an Underworld realm in Norse Mythology where Níðhöggr lives.
