Character Biography:
"I'll show the sinners Hell on earth."
Female/Age Early 20s.
The Chief Inquisitor of the Inquisition at Lemidia Capella, a Second Degree parish of the Priest Order in the Empire.Relatively younger than other members of her parish, she quickly rose to the rank of Chief Inquisitor because of her excellent skills.
All the bishops who evaluated her for the position were impressed by her innate ability and agreed that it was fueled by her deep-seated hated toward heresy.
She believes everyone's a heretic if he doesn't believe in the same god as she or wields a power that's evil in her opinion. Because of this, she constantly clashes with the members of the First Degree parish, Lemidia Basilica.
Usually cold and poised, she rarely reveals her emotions except when she fights heretics. Then, she reveals a completely different side of her that burns as hotly as the flames she wields.
While most Priests and Priestesses are having a hard time adjusting to this duality, the Inquisition encourages it, even calling it the true quality of the Inquisitor. [1]
History
Personality
Overall
When it comes to the Chief Inquisitor of Lemidia Capella, there are two different sides to the demeanor she wields; one who appears as stoic, composed and rarely expresses any form of emotion towards her fellow Priest Order colleagues while speaking in a albeit -- cold manner. However, if Lucille is present around Imposters or anything heresy-related, she isn't afraid to hesitate showing her overexcited, ruthless, bloodthirsty nature during battles, taking pleasure in destroying them with her axe and Holy Flames that defies Lemidios, rather seeing them burn to ashes than show any mercy. Lucille not only takes serious pride in her status as a Inquisitor, but can come off as very overzealous and quick to judge anyone that's unaffiliated with the Order a heretic or demon by default.
She greatly despises anything that revolves around Apostles or their associates, such Ozma of Chaos and his Black Crusade, or Sirocco and the Grim Seekers, vowing to continue her ongoing mission by restoring world order in Arad by punishing the unholy. Lucille is also one of few Priest Order members who doesn't agree on Apostle Michael who Lemidia Basilica has canonized him as it's saint, despite admiring the cathedral's design.
There are some occasions where she does show emotions or breaks away from her usual stoic demeanor, such as apologizing for going overboard with her attitude, or seeing fellow brothers and sisters who died during The Night of Revelation, swearing revenge against the Cult's actions.
Relationships
Lemidia Basilica
- Although Lemidia Basilica & Capella are allies, the two parishes don't seem to be on good terms since Lucille's Anti-Imposter sentimental views has resulted in clashes with several Order colleagues, mainly those who represent the Basilica as it's Archpriests.
Adventurer
Lucille is shown to be very hostile and distrustful around the Priest-turned Imposter's existence she finds unholy and speaks very harshly in their conversations. Although she does slightly ease up on him for acknowledging his powers are used to fight back against evil, she refuses to give Lemidios's blessing or her commendation despite his many efforts for saving Arad.
While Lucille's hostility towards the Mistress isn't nearly as harsh in comparison to speaking with the Avenger, but she also shows distrust towards the bearer of original sins, concerned that she'll deviate from her path of redemption. Despite this, she did have a change of heart when she offered her to join on a North Myre investigation, and later earns the Chief Inquisitor's respect after Ozma's defeat.
During their interactions, Lucille shows nothing but high esteem towards her fellow Sister, praising her efforts to eradicate all of evil that still infests Arad.
